The contact 2020 GMC sierra ld crew denali/at4-t1. The contact stated that while driving in the snow , the tire pressure light had illuminated. The contact stated that her vehicles power steering light had illuminated as well. The contact stated she has contacted the dealer ,as well as the manufacture who was not able to assist. The contact stated that she had not yet experienced a failure with the 2 , besides the warning lights illuminating , however she did experience a failure with the windows freezing from the inside her vehicle , causing leaking inside her vehicle. The contact stated she took the vehicle to the dealer who advised her that there were no recalls or warranty , and she would have to pay out of pocket. The failure mileage was 140,000.

2 Power Steering Fluid problem of the 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

Failure Date: 12/04/2018

Power steering went out while entering (turning left into) parking lot, towed to shop. Shop found broke/defective connection to steering box and leaking fluid. Replaced fitting and tubing, flushed system, and replaced fluid.

3 Power Steering Fluid problem of the 2001 GMC Sierra 1500

Failure Date: 08/30/2017

The contact owns a 2001 GMC sierra 800 (na). On several occasions, the contact noticed fluid leaking from the steering gear assembly. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to hiley Buick GMC (3535 w loop 820 s, fort worth, TX 76116 (817) 632-8800 where it was diagnosed that the steering gear assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. On another occasion, the contact noticed that the leakage from the steering gear assembly failed again. The vehicle was taken back to hiley Buick GMC where it was then diagnosed that the steering gear assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. During the third failure, the contact parked the vehicle in his garage and noticed a trail of fluid on the ground. Upon further inspection, he noticed fluid coming from the steering again. The vehicle was then taken back to hiley Buick GMC where it was diagnosed that the steering gear assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but with a different part number (19330428). The failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was 146,650.

4 Power Steering Fluid problem of the 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

Failure Date: 07/05/2011

The contact owns a 2005 GMC sierra k1500. While driving 25 mph, the contact stated that the vehicle lose power steering and he was unable to steer the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that the power steering line had rusted and caused it to leak power steering fluid. The dealer or manufacturer had not been notified. The vehicle was awaiting repairs. The current and failure mileages were 56,600.
