The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving various speeds, the vehicle started to shudder. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his destination. The contact owns a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while approaching a stop sign, the vehicle began to shake forcefully. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer liberty Buick GMC (9028 e independence blvd, matthews, nc 28105, (704) 708-8000) however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated he continued to experience the failure. The contact also stated while driving at low speeds, there was an abnormal sound coming from the front driver's side wheel axle. The vehicle was then taken to griffin Buick GMC (2500 w roosevelt blvd, monroe, nc 28110, (704) 289-3135) where it was diagnosed with needing the front driver's side strut to be replaced. The vehicle was taken back to liberty Buick GMC and the repairs completed. The contact also stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he heard an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated he had the tires replaced and an alignment performed but continued to hear the abnormal sound. The vehicle was taken back to liberty Buick GMC and the contact was informed that the gearbox needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.

Driving down the highway one day around 65mph the vehicle began to shudder violently, reducing my speed to less than 45mph all the way home (all the while still shuddering) I took it to a well known transmission shop "whitty transmissions" in oak ridge NJ only to have them drop the pan and find the transmission flooded with metal chips costing me a $3900+ rebuild. My transmission failed at 87,000 miles.

The vehicle first started vibrating at highway speeds while still under warranty (~15k miles) - I took it into the dealership and they said it was just out of alignment - aligned and rotated tires. This seemed to improve things for a few months until the vibration was back to the untolerable state - upon taking to another service station, they blamed the tires (uneven wear) and I paid for all new tires - only for the vibration to return after another few months. I next took it a 3rd service station and they are claiming a bend wheel that wont fully balance. After researching, I now see that this is a very common issue with a faulty drivetrain, but GMC is not acknowledging the issue?? how do I become part of a class action lawsuit in order to get this issue fixed properly?.

The vehicle was taken to the penske Buick, GMC of south bay located at 18600 hawthorne blvd, torrance, CA 90504, (310) 853-5860, where the vehicle was diagnosed and technician changed the transmission fluid however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred back to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000. The VIN was invalid.

The automatic transmission has a hard shift when going from park to reverse or park to 1st gear. The vehicle shudders when at interstate speeds causing a shake similar to running over interstate road bumpers/ lines. This has been brought up to the dealership several times and they reset the "learning transmission" fixing the problem temporarily for a day or two.

Vehicle shakes & vibrates at speed I & other owners are reporting that condition leads to headaches, dizziness, and nausea. This truck is a replacement for a 2014 that exhibited same issues. 2014 was traded for 2016 with $$ assistance from gm when they did admit there was no fix for vibration issues. Apparently vibration issues affect 2014, 2015, and now 2016 models. Dealers are flooded with complaints and vehicles in for repair, but there is no repair available. Gm is quietly doing buy backs or offering trade assistance. My 2016 is currently in the shop. Gm factory reps have confirmed that my truck does suffer vibration issues. This issue also affects the chevy silverado, chevy tahoe, and GMC yukon. This is what gm built with tax payer money! I have detailed service reports for 2014 truck as well as correspondence from gm.

Called dealership about one week after purchase in August 2015 and reported vibration in vehicle at speed of 70 and above. No return call. Never had truck inspected. Vibration has increased with age of the truck. Truck has 55,000 miles on it now. Just now finding out about numerous complaints having been filed. Found information at autoguide. Com. Vehicle has shudder, wobble and vibration when being driven at speeds 40-80. GMC has diagnosed as a tire issue but vehicle has been seen 14+ times and tires have all been road force balanced, numerous times. GMC refuses to diagnose further and has not identified the cause of the problem. Vibration has affected other components. I have been hearing noises from rear of truck , and kept looking for the problem, finally grabbed the bed and shook it from side to side and sounds like the tire is fixing to fall off, took it to hall GMC in tyler TX. On 9-03-2013 they greased the leaf springs ? and said they had fixed the problem,but when its parked on a hill there is to much weight on axle for it to move and they knew that , so when I got home in the garage it still has an inch or so travel from side to side making an awful noise, took it back on after 5 or 6 phone calls was told to come and get the truck on 9-23-2013 , that they all do that ,if anyone has a 2011 chevy or GMC rear drive vehicle shake it from side to side give it a really good shake and next time you go around a corner fixing to pass someone it will scare you knowing that the axle is that lose.
