While driving approximately 40 mph, there was an abnormal odor of smoke detected inside the cabin of the vehicle. The rear driver's side window shattered without warning or impact. The vehicle was taken to joseph Buick GMC (8700 colerain Ave, cincinnati, OH 45251, (513) 741-1000) and the contact was informed to schedule an appointment. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was referred to the local dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was 76,000.
2019 GMC Sierra 1500. Consumer writes in regards to poor visibility while towing. The consumer stated the vehicle was unfit for towing purposes, as there are no mirrors.

The vehicle was taken to a second dealer (mechanic GMC 3950 south center express way mckinney, texas 75007 phone 469-557-1788) where it was diagnosed that the air condition hose failed. The air conditioning hose was replaced. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 57,300.
2004 GMC sierra crew cab - burning odor, soot on dashboard, rear windows fail to operate. No blown fuses. Taken to thompson's GMC dealership in placerville CA for repair on October 20. Gm service department states: wiring harness for rear windows and door locks passes under and rubs against arm of parking brake pedal, leading to short circuit and failure of rear windows. Wiring harness replaced by gm service department. I can see that the new wiring harness also comes into contact with arm of parking brake pedal!
I have the old part. Consequences: burned wiring, loss of vehicle for 8 days, $772. 04 in repair cost.
