We have problems starting the truck . You cant just turn the key it takes you wiggling it and pulling it out of the ignition some times flipping your key just a pain in the neck. Had it checked a year ago and they said it was the way we were sticking the key in and it wore down the key. So they made us a new key. It worked for a week or so and went right back to doing the same thing. So now we just dealt with it . Till now . . . . Now it takes about 3 to 5 mins to get the key to turn and is out of warranty and I really think it was an ignition problem not a key problem. The truck only has 55,000 miles on it. Im so frustrated with my new truck. I have a 04 suburban 223000 miles on it and still have no problems with turning the key.

Driving on interstate 85 tire blew due to highway road and faulty wheel hub, steering capability , suspension on the truck. It spilt the bumper and shattered mirror and hit my arm. I almost lost total control of the truck it did a lot of damage. The front ends on these trucks have been nothing but a headache to a lot of people. They don't last due to cheap parts I assume. Thanks for your time.
Power steering goes in and out when making turns at low engine rpm. Happens regularly when turning into a parking spot in a parking lot. Sometimes, the power steering completely goes out during the turn that you must come to a complete stop before striking another vehicle.

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 hd crew cab slt pickup 4d 6 ã‚â½ ft. , purchased new in o7, with about 70,000 miles on it. I just had the right front axle come apart. It seems the rubber boot and two metal bands that clamp the boot onto both parts of the axle hold the axle together.

After returning from a day of shopping, I parked my truck at the back, like always. I had been noticing oil spots for the last few days but chalked it up to age and mileage of the truck. After about two hours I saw smoke from the back area where I parked. I ran outside to catch to my surprise! my truck was on fire, I as quickly as possible, grabbed the garden hose and put out the fire! I realized as I looked, that the fire had started at the area under the hood where the fuses, and wiring were located. As I slowly rebuilt my truck, I realized that the fire was not the only problem that I had! the fact of the matter was that if the fire had not shut my truck down, there were a whole array of other problems that I would of had to repair.
Started my vehicle so could move it in front of my garage. When I tried to turn the steering wheel wouldn't move and I had very limited braking power. It took an exceptional amount of pressure on the brake pedal just to stop the vehicle at a very low speed. Thankfully no one was hurt and no property damage occurred.

A few weeks later, the noise was much louder; however, a different dealer 2 hours away diagnosed the vehicle and stated that the fly wheel failed. Steering linkage problems: I've had the same problem since I've owned my truck. My father, who also has a 2500hd, has the same problems as well. They lubed and greased the shaft at one point under warranty, but the problem has returned and is persistent in both of our trucks. Both of our trucks are '04 models and I have less than 40k miles on mine. It feels like the steering wheel will come unattached from the linkage. Not a very safe problem to have. I hope someone will take these complaints seriously.
