1 Underhood Wiring problem of the 2001 GMC Sierra 2500

Failure Date: 07/02/2010

The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet k2500 hd silverado. The contact stated that the fuel injectors on the vehicle are bad and the failure is caused by a faulty wiring harness. A local mechanic stated that in order to repair the failure the wiring harness and fuel injectors must both be replaced. Gm was contacted and stated that they had extended the warranty on the vehicles for this failure to 7 years or 200,000 miles, whichever came first. The contacts 7 year period had expired so the repairs would be at her expense. The failure and current mileages were approximately 158,500.

2 Underhood Wiring problem of the 2005 GMC Sierra 2500

Failure Date: 11/18/2008

Wiring harness from blower motor to resistor pack located in the heater coil area under the dash on the passenger side of vehicle. This was repaired by the dealer once or twice before as far as we can see.
