While applying the brake pedal the brakes failed. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and pulled over. Consumer request for reimbursement of repairs on GMC 1998 Suburban. The consumer learned of a recall regarding the rotors, however the dealer informed the consumer the recall was only for c type trucks not k and the only difference being a c is a two wheel drive and the k type is four-wheel drive.
Excessive brake wear- rotors replaced @13,000 miles and 2nd second set 28,000 miles.
Disc brake rotors were warped. There was a lot of wobbling in steering wheel after applying brakes. Took vehicle to dealer & informed by mechanic that front disc brakes were warped badly & needed to be replaced.
Vehicle's brakes wore out several times, dealer discovered the worn brake pads were ocurring because the hub on the front left brake was warped and this vehicle must have left the factory with the warped hub.
I have had 3 sets of brakes. Now they are worn again, 32,000 miles, with cracked rotors. Dealer will not fix.
When the brakes are applied the vehicle pulls to the right. Owner has had the passenger's side brake rotors , and the master cylinder replaced twice. The dealer and the manufacturer have been notified.

While driving applied abs brakes, started pulling right when heated; pulls left when cold; passenger's side brakes wearing faster than driver's:took to dealer; cannot find problem; did change pads/calipers & had passenger wheels rotated.
Rotors warped, need to be turned every 5,000 - 7,000 miles.
