While driving, there is a random ding. No idiot lights come on this has been going on for over a month. Today I happened to look up and the passenger airbag light was flashing. As if stating there was someone in the seat. The only way to stop it is to have the passenger seat belt buckled while driving. This only happens while driving. It is very disturbing because I am not sure if I am in an accident if my passenger will be safe.
Takata airbag the airbag light has come on and I see a previous recall but now none that apply to my vehicle. Can you advise if this is something that falls under the prior recall?.

Traveling on state highway 136 between 50 and 55mph. The listed vehicle struck a deer causing significant front end damage. Immediately following there was a very strong odor similar to gun powder. The airbag light illuminated and on star came on line in the car due to crash sensor notification. However, there was no airbag deployment. The entire front end of the car sustained damage as well as the radiator. The drivers side front quarter panel also buckled. It is unknown at this time of further damage. The vehicle sustained enough damage to where it required it to be towed to a dealership body shop for further evaluation. Based on the front end and quarter panel damage, there should have been an airbag deployment. The listed vehicle is the only vehicle involved with the collision. The georgia state patrol investigated and completed a crash report.

Aig bag warning indicator light comes on during humid conditions.
The airbag light will not go off. . The biggest problem is the acceleration issues. . When I give the gas to increase speed it hesitate. . And sometimes the engine races for no reason. . And when I put the car in drive it will not go. . It gets stuck. . I have to put it in park for a minute the put it back into drive then it will go.

The airbag readiness light is illuminated and "service air bag" message is displayed. There have been recalls for this on 2011 GMC Terrains but when I looked it up it says my vehicle isn't covered in the recall. I'm pretty sure that this, in combination with the takata air bag recall, has affected more Gmcs than the company cares to admit. This recall should be extended to all 2011 GMC Terrains. The service air bag light and air bag warning bell constantly come on while I'm driving my car. It comes on when I start the car and continues to go on and off the entire time I'm driving.
I have had my vehicle since November of 2016. Shortly after I bought it the check airbag light came on. I took it to the deal since it was still under warranty. They replaced something. This fix only lasted for a little while. The light comes on all the time now. When I took it back to have them look at it they are going to charge me a fee since it is past the warranty. If this would have been fixed correctly the first time. I also don't feel that this should be my responsibility to fix since it is a safety issue.

On Nov 03, 2017 around 7:45am, my son and I got in the car to drop him off to school when we barely left our house maybe 5 houses away when all sudden the noise service airbag light went on my dashboard. I took some pictures and turn the engine of.
I was traveling about 75mph when a deer ran infront of me, I wasn't able to stop completely and hit the deer on my right front side of my vehicle. . The smell of smoke came from my vehicle and my "service airbags" indicator came on. . No airbags deployed. . I had my 6 year old son in the car with me!! my car isn't drivable due to the signal being on even though the airbags didn't deploy.
The airbag indicator on the dash along with the warning "ding ding ding" goes off constantly. I am concerned there is something wrong with the airbags. I would like to know the manufacturer of the airbags and I would like to know if those airbags are being recalled in other vehicles. I bought this vehicle used in April of 2015.

The diver air bag light went on and my car it's never been in an accident. I think this should be a manufacturer defect.
While driving my 2010 Terrain, my service airbag light reapeatly came on. I took it to the GMC dealership for repairs,I was told the airbag connector wires were defective. This is the statement the dealership put on my repair invoice : diagnostist. & history code b0014. Found document # 2601877. Suggest following this document before doing anything else. More may be needed but this is a place to start. Replace airbag connector ends and terminals on both front seats. As described in doc. #26011877. More work may be needed. This could be a starting point. . . What a statement to make ,when it comes to a safety issue which cost $359. 58 to repair. The defect was in the installation & the wiring of the connectors install in the veichle. As stated above GMC knew this problem existed according the code b0014 & doc. #26011877 supplied to the dealerships.
