1 Warning Light On problem of the 2020 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 12/19/2020

My air bag warning light/dashboard message has come on 7 times in the last 3 weeks, along with 4 other times in the 2 months prior, but the GMC dealership will not investigate since it does not stay on. At the most recent event this weekend, I pressed onstar, and they ran diagnostics and emailed me the "b0085" detected error code, but my dealership will still not investigate, since the light went out. The light has come on at startup and while driving. Warnings have come on 8/27/20, 10/5, 10/8, 10/12, 111/28, 12/2, 12/8(x2), 12/11, 12/14, and 12/19/20.

2 Warning Light On problem of the 2012 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 02/10/2020

On Feb 10, 2020 I was involved in a side impact crash when a large truck failed to stop at a red light. I took the vehicle in for repairs as the front quarter panel and wheel were damaged. The collision shop called today and stated that all four of my impact sensors are "dead". He said I was very lucky because there is no way I would've known that my airbags wouldn't have deployed and I very likely would've been seriously injured or killed. There was no warning light on the dash, and no code. They found it by accident on a more intensive diagnostic. This is scary because how many other 2012 Terrain owners won't know until one of their loved ones are injured or killed!?!? you need to do something about this. I got lucky but you have now 23 complaints about these bags not deploying. Please do something!!!.

7 Warning Light On problem of the 2011 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 03/20/2014

March 2014 we had a airbag warning light come on and a warning on the odometer screen as well so we took it in to GMC weatherford TX and reported it but they said it would be $125 to just check it. Well we didn't and don't have the $125 to check it and then maybe not be fixed and we don't have it now. After this last airbag recall I have to wonder if it should have included my 2011 GMC Terrain. The light and alarm still goes off so it is very scary. Is there a way that this can be checked without cost?.

9 Warning Light On problem of the 2010 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 04/02/2012

I started receiving a warning to service passenger air bag whenever my oldest son sat in passenger seat. It did not occur whenever anyone else sat in the seat so I did not immediately act upon warning light/buzzer. Recently I had a problem with the air conditioning compressor, so when brought to the dealer, they found a bad electrical sensor connector under the passenger seat that was only activated when my son's weight was in the seat. A heavier person closed the connector circuit, a lighter person was not registering in the seat. If an accident had occurred, a passenger air bag malfunction could have occurred with serious consequences.

10 Warning Light On problem of the 2011 GMC Terrain

Failure Date: 03/01/2012

I started taking my 2011 GMC Terrain into the dealership where I bought it from when my airbag warning light started randomly coming on and off as I was driving. It was under warranty at that time and they would get it to go off for a day. . . But then it would come back on. One time I took it in, and the lady looked and said that it was nothing and to continue to drive it until they could get to it in a few weeks because they were backed up. When I took it in. . . My mileage was 100 miles till my warranty was out. . . They again. . . Stated that it was something that I was doing and released it back to me. It now remains on constantly. . . And all of these recalls are happening with airbags going off or not going off! I am scared to death to drive my car, but I have no other choice. I am still making payments on this vehicle that is a potential hazard to myself and my family! the dealership said that they can see if they can get a code from scanning it for $100 plus whatever is wrong with it. This problem has been going on way too long for me to have to be out of pocket any money! they should be paying me for all of this mess! please help me!!!.
