Two problems related to brake drum have been reported for the 1996 GMC Yukon. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front/rear brake pads overheated/cracked, causing vibration upon braking; also, front rotors and drums warped, resulting in vehicle vibration upon braking.
There is a . 5 to 1. 5 second delay after the brakes are applied brfore anybraking action, resulting in extended stopping distance; replacement of rear brake drums did not correct problem.
