: the contact stated the abs system failed to stop the vehicle. While approaching a stop driving 5 mph the brakes failed and rear ended another vehicle. Seat belts were in use by all 3 occupants in the vehicle. However injuries were sustained to the driver. The air bags did not deploy. The police were on scene and a report was filed. Prior to the accident the abs light on the instrument panel was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however the dealer was unable to make repairs. There is a NHTSA recall, # 05v37900, regarding the service brakes, antilock. The VIN was not included in the recall.
