Raw fuel fumes inside the cab and outside the vehicle. After looking under the vehicle there is a slow but steady fuel leak from the gas tank. I believe it is the plastic fuel line that has worn a hole in itself from rubbing on another object.

After driving a 100 mile round trip on a us hwy, county roads, and city streets, we arrived back home and before we could turn our 2015 GMC Yukon xl, we immediately began to smell gasoline. Directly underneath where our 8 month child was just siting, is where we noticed 87 octane fuel dripping rapidly. As I was looking, my wife was removing our child out the passenger side where she was sitting. We had so much gas on the ground and the fumes where so strong. I can not stress enough how quickly the fumes engulfed our whole vehicle, with all of us still in the vehicle. Had there been a spark of any kind, it would have been enough to catch our vehicle on fire with us possible still in the vehicle and mainly our infant still in the vehicle. We had the vehicle brought to a local repair shop and had to have our fuel feed line (acdelco part# 84200274) replaced. The engineers for gm, stupidly had this fuel line running through a molded clip, that is part of the fuel tank, and the hose was snapped into it tightly. This caused enough friction in the line moving back and forth to finely place a hole in the fuel line. Nhtsa must take this report seriously before it cost the life of someone that does not deserve burning alive in a vehicle. Issue the recall immediately before this happens! most people can not afford a $350-$1,000 fix or much less the value of someone's life!.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon xl. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph, the contact smells fuel coming from the fuel tank without any warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not towed. The contact did not notice any leaks from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnosed test was performed and determined that the high pressure fuel tank pump failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer ryan GMC Buick Cadillac 1111 20th Ave sw, minot, nd 58701 (701)-864-3009 was contact to schedule an appointment for the 2nd diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to contact NHTSA to place a complaint because there were no recalls under the contact VIN. No investigation as start. The failure mileage was 84,000. Ck.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon denali xl. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted an abnormal fuel odor. Upon inspection, the contact observed a puddle of fuel on the ground. The contact also noticed that the fuel tank and fuel line did not have enough space in between them, which caused a hole to develop in the fuel line. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 68,000.
Takata recall -I found no record of recall but passenger airbag warning light is on as well as cracks on the dashboard around where the airbags would deploy. Heated seats malfunction and turn on and are unable to be turned off. Fuel tank mileage to empty unreliable. Guage can be at quarter tank and say 50 miles to empty and stall due to being out of gas. Gas guage issue changes while driving. . . On raod trips the gas guage will suddenly change and say there is more gas in it than there actually is.

Spring of 2013 I lost my brakes ,lines and connectors totally rusted out (replaced). July 2013 my full tank of gas poured out all over the ground. Sending unit ,feed line, return line totally rotted and blew out. But the pump still worked. Lol (all replaced). I bought this truck with 70000 miles on it at 5 years old. From a Volvo dealership. I only put 10000 miles on it in approximately 4 years. I keep it well maintained and change the oil every 3000 miles. Whats next? I have driven trucks for 35 years now. Never had anything like this happen before. What gives with these crappy made parts!!!!! . Make them in the u. S. A. !!!!. . Who are the engineers designing this vehicles. Thy make it hard for the mechanics to work on without having to disassemble everything to get to the repair thats needed! headache for them and $$$$$ unnecessary unsafe for us!!.

My son and I were going north on rt 1 in rehoboth beach and stopped at a light and smelled gas. I pulled over to the side of the road and looked under the car and gas was leaking fast from the top of the gas tank. Took it straight up to my mechanic john at emery chassisworks and left it for him to check. He found the metal gas pump has rusted out on top and was pumping gas all over. . He said he only found one other Yukon with that problem. All the others had a plastic top (that could not rust). This was extremely dangerous (any cigarette, spark, etc. ) and we were blown up. Why didn't I have the gas pump on top of the gas tank with a plastic top that doesn't rust. Very dangerous.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the repair shop for service maintenance. The failure was found in the fuel tank, where there was a leak. The vehicle was repaired by replacing the fuel tank. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue however no assistance was provided. The current and failure mileage was 48,000.
Gas guage not working on 2001 Yukon denali. Tank was filled up & the fuel gauge read @ 'e'. The low fuel light came on & the sound came on. It has occured all the time now & then it re-reads the correct amt of fuel in the tank.

The incorrect fuel levels when it run low, it was showing that have 120 miles to go, when I just drove for 20 miles and it empty, it drop down so fast that I'm so nervous, almost on freeway no where near by for gas station, it happening seen I bought this truck back in 2009 and still now problem with it, I have to refill almost haft of the tank every time, can't wait until it empty light it will out of gas so quick, and second problem is steering making noise every turn on a colum of steering.
Fuel gague is eratic, most often showing the tank empty when up to half full.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon denali. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact noticed the fuel gauge displayed an inaccurate full capacity level when the full tank was actually empty. The incorrect fuel gauge reading occurred whenever the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired for the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
