Engine Burning Oil problems of the 1998 Honda Accord

Two problems related to engine burning oil have been reported for the 1998 Honda Accord. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Burning Oil problem

Went to Honda dealership in santa maria CA and they agreed to do a oil consumption test. When oil change was due I took again and they said I have to take it sooner. On the receipt of oil change dealership in deed did write a message that said it wasted to much oil. Will continue to take to dealership for further test. I was just wondering if my car was the only car with this particular problem. Also my steering wheel slightly shakes and makes a light noise, doesn't run as smooth as it use to. Will contact dealership for that matter.

2 Engine Burning Oil problem

I noticed the engine oil consumption problem at around 7k miles, but I did not believe it at first. I checked the oil level once a week. The engine burns close to 3/4 quart of oil every 1,000 miles, but the Honda dealership said it's fine. I believe it is excessive for a relatively new car, and Honda has a known reputation for excellence in relability and low maintenace.
