The contact owns a 2003 Honda Accord. While attempting to turn the vehicle at 50 mph, it was struck by another vehicle. The contact sustained injuries to her back, forehead, knees, and chest due to being thrown into the steering wheel from impact. The driver's side air bag failed to deploy. The driver's side seat belt came out of the buckle latch and was thrown to the passenger side of the vehicle. Six months later, the contact was involved in another incident in which the driver's side air bag did not deploy again. The passenger side air bag deployed. The contact sustained head injuries and was transported to the hospital. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired. A diagnostic test was performed, which indicated that the air bags would now operate correctly. A police report was filed. The current mileage was 37,500 and failure mileage was 36,694.
: the contact stated the driver side air bag did not deploy in a frontal impact crash. The approximate speed at the time of impact was 55 mph. There was pre-impact braking. The driver was wearing a seat belt, and no injuries were sustained.
: the contact stated while approaching a crossroad at 3 mph, the on coming vehicle did not yield crashing into the contacts vehicle on the passenger side because neither had a stop sign. The air bags did not deploy. The passenger sustained minor injuries and a police report was taken. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop. The dealer was not contacted.
I was on I-285 going about 40 mph when a truck carrying tree limbs and branches pulled off the median directly in front of me. My 2003 Honda Accord ex coupe rear ended the truck. The front passenger air bag deployed breaking the windshield but the driver's side air bag did not deploy. The driver's seat belt did not retract. Damage was confined to the hood, bumper and several components under the hood (compressor, radiator, etc). The vehicle was towed to my local Honda dealer who is making all the necessary repairs. The dealer informed me that Honda recommends the seat belt buckle be replaced when the seat belt needs to be replaced. The dealer ordered the seat belt buckle but noticed it was the wrong part when they went to install it. They contacted Honda north America on may 4 and again on may 12 regarding this and as of may 13 the dealer still has had no response from Honda north America. The car was scheduled to be ready on may 12 and now the dealer can't give me a completion date because of Honda north America's refusal to contact the dealer regarding the seat belt buckle. In the meantime, I am still having to pay a portion of my rental car and the maximum allowed by my insurance company will max out this coming week.
I was forced off the road into a utility pole causing extensive front end damage to my 2003 Honda Accord. The airbags did not deploy. I and my passenger were saved from serious harm because we had our seat belts on. If the impact would have been greater I fear one or both of us could have had serious injuries or even been killed.
Air bags never deployed in my 2003 Honda Accord. Severe head and neck injuries from side and front impact. Honda did nothing.
While driving vehicle flipped in the air, hit a culvert and then hit a guard rail. No air bag was deployed. Consumer lost control of the vehicle and hit a guard rail, flipped over three times, and landed on top. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy. Driver and passenger sustained head a neck injuries, and were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Vehicle was towed and totaled by the insurance company.
On July 31, we were involved in a collision in our 2003 Honda Accord lx. An SUV ran a stop sign, and we hit it. The impact was directly head-on for us (broadside for the SUV). We were traveling between 20 and 30 mph at the time. The front end of the Accord was Accordianed. However, our front airbags did not deploy. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and were not injured. However, without the seatbelts, the front passengers would certainly have hit the windshield very hard. The airbags clearly should have deployed, and I am filing this report because they did not.
Our 2003 Honda Accord was involved in a collision -- we turned into another vehicle at an intersection. There was significant front end damage to our Honda, but the air bags did not deploy. It sure looks like they should have. Fortunately, there were no injuries. We have sent this information to Honda, but they have failed to respond.
Consumer rear ended another vehicle and the air bags never deployed.
While driving at 40 mph vehicle in front of consumer's vehicle came to a complete stop. Causing consumer to rear end the vehicle. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy. The consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer.
Driver was involved in a rear collision, all passengers wore seatbelts. However, passenger's side airbag deployed, but driver's side airbag did not deploy.
Abs lights came on while driving. This indicated brake failure on 3 separate occasions. Consumer ran a red light, hit a curb ,and crashed into a building. Upon impact, frontal air bags failed to deploy. Consumer sustained arm and back injuries. Dealership did not locate the cause of the brake failure.
