"takata recall" hi we got the recall done. But the dealer tried to say that we needed $ 1400 in other repairs??? According to your customer service agents, they are not supposed to do this practice during recalls. . . . . . The dealer's name was: dick hannah Honda 321 ne automall drive vancouver washington 98668 phone: 360-944-3399 the work on our car was performed on 3/19/2016 at their dealership. Just thought you should know thank you jackie kiso jkkbkk@comcast. Net 360-891-9811.
Takata recall my car was bought in florida and is in priority group 1. However, it has not been recalled. How do I get Honda to recall the car and replace the airbags?.
The contact owned a 2003 Honda Accord. While driving approximately 20 mph, the air bags deployed independently and caused the vehicle to crash into a pole. A police report was filed. The contact sustained broken ribs and injuries to the chest, both arms, and both shoulders that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a junkyard. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 14v700000 (air bags), 15v320000 (air bags), and 15v370000 (air bags). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. The VIN was not provided.
My son is an approved seatbelt claimant in the takata bankruptcy class action suit. (#4842) he became a paraplegic when his 2003 Honda Accord rolled once after encountering a road surface change from asphalt to gravel. His seatbelt pre-tensor failed as did his airbags. His t-13 l-1 spinal cord injury is conducive to seat belt failure. . A bone spur from his vertebre broke off and went into his spinal cord. By the time our head cleared from the whole ordeal, we were one month out of the statue of limitations. (which is 2 years in the state of colorado) shortly thereafter we received a card in the mail informing us of the takata class action suit. We were glad we still had an avenue for an injury claim. Fast forward 4+ years and we have recently found out that the 33 approved takata seatbelt claimants have $1,140,000 to share amongst themselves. Some claimants lost loved ones from the faulty seatbelt sensors and seatbelt malfunctions. Based on this current fund amount, lee will likely only receive between 20,000 to 40,000 for his injury. Very little for the inability to walk, go to the bathroom, loss of sexual function and having to deal with consistent nerve pain. I recently became aware of the zf-trw class action complaint and realize the parameters of the nonfunctioning airbag and seatbelt pre-tensor fit the parameters of my sons accident. The Honda Accord 2014-2015 vehicles are listed as having problematic zf-trw parts. My sons 2003 Honda Accords acu was replaced in January/February of 2015. I suspect that the part was replaced with the same acu used in the new 2014-2015 Honda Accords. Takata seat belt class action suit settlement does not preclude anyone from collecting compensation for injury from another source. My son should have walked away from this accident.

Takata recall: I want to know why the takata airbag in my car is not being recalled "at this time. " as I was told by Honda in torrence. "at this time" is a lousy answer and I hardly drive this vehicle out of fear. It is 2003 and I have 51,000 miles on it. I like this car but I am being treated like my life is not worth anything. I want an answer as to why my takata airbag is not being replaced. Perhaps the media can help me.

Checking on air bag recall.
Purchased 2003 Honda Accord from a local car dealer for $5,000. 00 on 4/8/15. Picked up tags, title and registration on 4/20 and was planning on taking vehicle to inspection on 5/2. On 5/1/15 as I was pulling out of a wawa parking lot at 20mph and the passenger air bag deployed without any type of impact to the vehicle. I had the car towed home and took it to the dealer the next day. The dealer pulled up Honda recalls for 2003 Honda Accords and advised us to take the car to a Honda dealer. We then had the car towed to Honda of turnersville. They informed us that Honda did have a recall but it did not pertain to this VIN#. Seriously???? I got an estimate from them to repair which was $3890. 00 but they said they would not fix it due the liability. We contacted Honda corporate and they sent an inspector out 8 days later. The inspector sent his report to corporate and they informed us that the air bag was not defective. Really? since the date of purchase we have travelled a total 0f 429 miles and now it appears that we are out the $5,000. Oo that we spent for this vehicle and have no car. We asked for a copy of the report from the Honda inspector but were told that we could not have one because they came out as a courtesy.
On 7/21/15 I took my Honda to the dealer at 9213 harford road, 21234, for safety recall 15v-320 & 370, and it was repaired. The srs light came on intermittently and they scanned for code and said that the srs unit was malfunctioning and was not covered under the recall. A repair price was quoted of $735. After further investigation, I found out that many other Honda owners had the same problem and were quite upset over this safety malfunction. I wrote a letter to Honda customer service asking for their assistance in covering the cost of repair or "lifetime" warranty coverage. This is definitely a safety issue and nothing to do with the maintenance of my vehicle which has only 64,000 miles. A rep responded by phone and said there was nothing they could do because the car was "old. " whether the car is older or new, this is still a "safety" problem that many owners are experiencing and should be addressed by the Honda company or the NHTSA. The dealer did not give me a code number after the scan so I don't even know if it was correct. I request your assistance in checking out the safety issue on the srs units in the Honda Accord. I don't know if anyone has been hurt because of this malfunction, but it could happen. I would appreciate a recall and assistance in replacing the unit, if that is the cause. I purchased this vehicle new and have not had many problems outside of a few recalls. I plan to keep it as it is not in my budget to acquire a new vehicle at this time. Safety of Honda vehicle or any vehicle is of utmost importance in their marketing.

I have a recall on both driver and passenger air bag. I have called the Honda dealership in grand island nebraska 7 times and tried scheduling online 2 times to have the recall fixed it has been almost 90 days now, and I have yet to have them call back with a appointment. I drive this car 45 miles on the highway daily and do not feel safe. The letter I was sent in January 2015 said to give the dealership 60 days to remedy the problem. I'm very concerned about the complete disregard for the safety of not only myself but other drivers and passengers in these vehicles.
A safety recall has been initiated on both of my front air bags. Honda of nc refuses to replace. Leith Honda on capital blvd. Set an appointment for me. When I arrived they informed they did not have the part. Autopark Honda in cary I have attempted to contact three times. Each time they tell me they will order the parts and call me. They have not called. It has been over four months, several phone calls and one trip to the dealership and Honda of nc refuses to replace my defective air bags.

No accident \ I am reporting inaccurate information on this website and corresponding Honda website regarding airbag recall on this vehicle. There are no options 2 or 4 from the Honda website setup for recall. There is no way to register this vehicle for airbag replacement (and we recently purchased it used so it may not be properly registered at Honda corporate - though we have had it serviced at our local Honda dealer). This process of registering for airbag replacement should be available 24/7. No excuses. Honda is not being proactive.

First, when I started typing in this field, the page reset and I had to re-enter the VIN. So, please fix your webpage, so that it does not clear unless a submit button is deliberately pressed. The airbag malfunction light on my Honda Accord comes on, at the start of some engine runs, before the vehicle is set in motion, and stays on for the duration of the run. At other times, when the light does not come on at the onset of a run, it comes on when the seatbelt is unbuckled, and remains on for the remainder of the run. Though I would rather that the airbag system be permanently disarmed, I am concerned that the light will come on during the annual safety inspection and cause my vehicle to fail the inspection.
Submission from constituent re 2003 Honda Accord safety recalls. The consumer stated he was unable to get in contact with the dealer, in order to correct the air bag issue.
I received a letter from Honda stating that the passenger and driver airbag was defective and could deploy abnormally causing metal fragments to pass through the airbag cushion material causing serious injury or fatality to vehicle occupants. I called the Honda dealer to make an appointment to have it repaired at no cost as indicated in their letter. However they cannot have it repaired because they do not have the parts. It has been two weeks since I first called them and every time I follow up their answer is that parts have been ordered and they have no indication when it will arrive. Driving this vehicle puts my family and others on the road in great danger. Is there a way Honda can have this repaired sooner? or are they trying to avoid incurring the cost?.
