64 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2010

2008 Honda Accord purchased new at gary force Honda bowling green ky. First issue: cold start rattle, dealer replaced atc actuator, problem corrected. Have replaced brakes on the car 4 times. Most recently replaced approximately 1 year ago and now when brakes are applied the steering wheel vibrates worse than a road wagon. At 70,000 miles oil light came on, checked oil and none was on the stick. Added oil, took the car to dealer, they replaced vtc actuator but it did not correct the problem. Complained again and they performed oil consumption analysis only to tell me it was using less than one quart per one thousand miles and that was the industry standard. A few months later I became more irritated about the problem and complained again. They performed another oil consumption analysis to tell me it was using more than it was previously but less than one quart per 1000 miles and wouldn't do anything. Currently the car has 100000 miles on it and yes, the warranty just expired and it's using one quart per 1200 miles. I wrote Honda of America a letter and complained. They called but other than kind words, they did nothing. Oh and have I mentioned the head lights. . . . They blink when the heat or air is on. I must not forget that the leather on both the arm rest and console has bubbled up but no signs of wear or damage around the bubbles. And let me not forget the most recent issue: now often times while setting completely still at a stop light and/or going down the road I hear a clicking sound in the steering column. I am not turning the steering wheel when I hear this noise. It just starts clicking, kind of like an electronic click coming from the steering column. Oh what a piece of junk Honda made when it built the 2008 Accord. Paid 30,000 for it and I'm sadly disappointed.

65 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2010

I have 2008 Honda Accord which I purchased it new in 2007. I changed the back brakes after 12,000mile and I took it to service dealer after 6500 mile for oil change and they told me I need new back brake again(this is after changing the brake 6,500 mile ago). I received the letter from Honda company that there was the defect and it was fixed and they pay for my last brake change. Now I have a problem with brake and the problem was not fixed. Do you have any recommendation or suggestion in regards to this problem. Thank you!.

66 Service Brakes problem

67 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2010

General concerns. However I am concerned about the airbag, engine and brakes problem especially. Honda has not made us aware of any problems with this vehicle. Thankfully we have only had premature replacement of brakes. We are aware of consumer complaints only because we are concerned about our product which we assume to be safe and reliable . You can rely on our qualitymaintenance program, we have been alerted by mail of a pending suit we cannot benefit from class action because we have no incident to report. Honda corporate and dealers owe us consumers true and fair information and timely communications . GMC had to kill people before they were found to be irresponsible. Consider this a complaint about brakes, failure to take responsibility, failure to notify, regarding other possible problems especially airbags.

68 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/27/2010

My Honda rear brakes were not working properly. I had difficulty stopping my 2008 Honda Accord. I had my brakes replaced at cramer Honda of venice on 05/27/10. I was told about Honda brake recall. I was also told that the new brakes I had installed in may 2010 for would last for at least 80,000, I was paying for the improved brakes. Well close to 40,000 miles later the "new improved brakes" are causing the same safety problems, difficulty in stopping. On 3/14/12, I was told by the by the Honda service employee that when Honda redesigned their brakes, for a smoother stop, they did not redesign the brake pad, causing them to wear much quicker and causing concerns. I bought Honda for safety for my 3 young children. I feel the 2008 Honda Accord brakes still create a serious safety and liability concern. How many other Honda Accord owners are facing the same safety concerns?.

69 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/26/2010

The contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord. While having the vehicle inspected by the dealership, the contact was informed that the rear brakes on her vehicle were more than 90% worn and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current and failure mileages were approximately 26,000.

70 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/20/2010

I have a 2008 Honda Accord and just rolled over 41,000 miles. I started to hear the metal on metal coming from my rear wheels. This is my 3rd Accord so I know it is brakes related. 41,000 mile would be ok except I also had the brakes replaced at 21,000 miles. I was luck that my dealership covered the 1st set under warranty but now that I am no longer covered under the warranty I am going to have to pay. On both of my previous Accords I only replaced the brakes once in over 100,000 miles. Something is not right.
