Driver's air bag light came on. Dealer said there was an issue with the computer/receiver that causes the airbag to operate. They charged $700 to repair. My question is whether this is a safety recall that Honda should have paid for.

My passenger airbag light has been on ever since November and I took it to the dealership and they could not diagnose the problem.
The srs unit has failed which is an acknowledged problem in some 2008-2010 Honda Accords but my particular model is not eligible for the recall. Considering the failure and the acknowledgment from Honda on this exact issue, my car should be eligible for the recall free of charge. I came to know about this problem because of the airbag indicator light being on.

Airbag light is on and the recall for the module was completed several months ago oddly enough the srs light and tps are on as well all came in about the same time but unknown as to why.
Takata airbags I called numerous times last year and two years ago because my passenger airbag light would keep coming on and the vehicle was never in a major accident to set off the passenger airbag. I complained in person at a Honda dealership of lisle to a ray underwood. Ray claimed that nothing was wrong and they refused to do anything to my vehicle until I paid a minimum $100 testing fee. I am a college student who doesnt have alot of extra income so I was unable to pay for the fee. I argued that this should have been free do to the seriousness of the claim considering I have passengers in my vehicle all the time and I would never want to put them in harms way. Ray again refused to do anything. I called Honda and they refused to reimburse me for the fee. Now about 2 years later I received 2 letters in the mail about my vehicle having defective airbags! are you people ignorant, incompetent, stupid or all 3? I am currently giving all documentation to my lawyer for further action. I want Honda of lisle reported to the better business bureau as well as their general manager ken underwood. This is a shady way to conduct business and I could have been seriously injured or killed do to their negligence as well as takata's negligence.
2009 Honda Accord. Consumer writes in regards to airbag indicator light illuminated. The consumer stated the dealer did not offer a satisfying explanation.
Side airbag light, driver's airbag light and passenger airbag light is on. I bought the car new and it's never been in an accident.
No incident at this time. But airbag light stays lit and on dashboard the seatbelt lights up and the off lights, keeps blinking on dashboard and above hazard button. Are there any other complaints?.
The srs indicator stays on permanent and the brakes have to change again after only 6 months. Called Honda headquarters and was told that there was a recall for srs in 2011 but my VIN number was not on the recall list and the my vechicle is out of warranty. I bought my car as a used car at herb chambers in 2010 and the According to them the car was already out of warranty. I need them to call the dealership and have me take the car in for diagnostic and have the issue fixed without me absorbing the cost.
Air bag failure indicator came on. Took vehicle to dealer and was advised that air bag needed to be replaced as it had failed.
Since the vehicle purchased there is air bag lights on went to workshop at Honda dealer three times. But still the problem exits.
