Vehicle rattles on cold start. Frequently burning oil. Have properly maintained vehicle since purchased February 2014.
Oil is excessively burning. Alternator isn't charging car battery.
The car is burning oil. I completed an oil consumption test as requested by the Honda dealer and the oil consumption is high, leading them to conclude that the car is burning oil.
I have a 2014 Honda Accord ex and it's burning 2 to 3 quarts of oil every 2 weeks. It's aggravating it's burning so much oil and there are thousands of reviews about this matter with the Accord model and Honda is not doing anything about it. I took the car to the dealership for this matter and I have extended warranty and they were said that they will charge me $129. 99 to look at the car when I have the extended warranty. I feel so disappointed in Honda because they are leaving their loyal customers in the air when they know what is going on and don't do anything to help. . . I drive a little in the city but mainly on highway. How many people have to complain in order for Honda to do something about this serious problem. . . Help help help help help help help help help help.
Excessive oil consumption.
Piston rings need to be checked. Went for oil change and there was no oil in car tech said there was not a leak and it must be burning oil car was at 30%.
I informed Honda about my car's oil system problem, and how the engine is burning oil at a faster rate than normal. I told them that I had my car checked several times at Honda in burlingame for this problem. There was no leaks, yet they couldn't determine the cause. They just told me to keep an eye on the oil gauge on the dashboard. At the 50% level it made a beeping noise and I had the oil checked. It was almost completely empty! therefore the oil gauge was useless. I wrote to Honda and told them the problems. They just told me to get it checked again and was unwilling to do anything about this potential hazard. Now I am concerned about driving this defective vehicle, and very alarmed that Honda is not concerned about this potential danger or their customer's safety.
My 2014 Accord, purchased in April 2014, began burning oil and had to have extensive work/repairs done. According to a recall notice on models manufactured shortly after mine, a similar issue occurred. I was informed by the service center that they had seen several cars the same model as mine with the same issue but no recall notice had been issued yet. If not already done, I believe this issue should be looked into for a potential recall. I can send documents of what work was done.
The car has been burning excessive engine oil ever since I purchased it. There is no oil leakage as I have never seen any oil drops where I park it. I have to constantly check the oil level and add more. I bought this car from Honda dealership as pre owned certified. I spoke to Honda dealership once about the issue and they said if the car burns 1 quart of oil in 1000 miles then we consider it excessive oil burning. At the time my car was still under warranty. They just gave me this unrealistic oil burning rate so they don't have to honor the warranty. Now my car is not under warranty and the problem of course persists.
Engine constantly burns oil and needs to be refilled.
Excessive oil consumption. . . . Honda saying it is normal . . . . .
Had oil consumption test at Honda dealer I bought car from. Documented car losing quart oil every 1000 miles or 2 quarts between 8000 mile oil changes. Honda does not find this excessive and states a quart per 1000 miles is acceptable, which is total bs. I will never recommend or buy a Honda product in the future!.
I've a 2014 Honda Accord ex and it burns oil constantly. I always took my car to the dealer for an oil change every since I bought it new until two year 2020 until do my own oil change and realize I burn a quart of oil within a month. So the dealer has change my motor oil all this year without telling me until my warranty is over and I sure they know and hear complained about this issues already they should do a recalled on this car do to safety reason. Thanks,.
