1 Assist problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/04/2026

The steering wheel became hard to turn randomly and the power steering problem warning came on but then went away. At one point the driver assist turned off and the lights were orange but then it went away too. It keeps happening when I'm parking. The steering wheel gets stiff and the warning comes on and goes away. There were no lights or warnings prior, just started happening randomly. This is recent and I have not yet got it inspected but it is available for inspection.

2 Assist problem of the 2022 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/15/2026

This car has well known issues with the infotainment system probably since it came out and nothing has been fixed. There are constant ghost touches/glitching, especially when it gets hotter outside. Now after owning it for a year, apple carplay freaks out. I’ll be listening to music and then suddenly the screen goes black. The buttons still work on the blacked out screen but nothing will pop back up. I had my dealership take a look and this is an ongoing issue with Honda. I’ve seen car forums talk about the same thing for years and nothing is being resolved permanently. This can be a distraction safety hazard. My other issue is the lane keep assist. It doesn’t detect lanes very well, especially if it’s faded or has sealed cracks. I could be driving the freeway speed limit and then the car suddenly brakes hard. I’m lucky no one was directly behind me when these incidents have happened or else I would’ve been rear-ended. Safety hazard for both complaints.

3 Assist problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 04/26/2026

The steering on the '25 hybrid sport l is a little loose? even small movements make the car drift, and it's hard to keep it straight. The feels like the car won’t track straight. The lane keep assist does not work like the 10th gen. It’s like a ping pong bouncing off the lines. Who’s experiencing this as well.

4 Assist problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 04/01/2026

Dashboard shows that there is a problem with the adaptive cruise control system, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system, and automatic high beams. Message occurs intermittently, usually lasting a few seconds, and goes away. Can happen while driving or while parked. Usually occurs a handful or times per day. Seems to happen more frequently when engine bay is warmed up. This is a safety issue because it suddenly and unexpectedly disables the advanced driver assistance systems. For example, while driving on the highway, cruise control and lane keeping assistance will turn off suddenly, forcing the driver to intervene with all of these systems at once. This also has other implications, like automatic emergency braking not functioning correctly to help prevent an accident. Vehicle has been brought to various Honda dealers a total of three times. A case has been opened with american Honda motor CO, but no solution to the problem has been found.

5 Assist problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/25/2026

Was driving 35mph speed limit in my town of nashville nc, lost acceleration with cars clearly behind me, car stalled was enough speed to turn into a parking area and car will not re start due to high voltage battery going out on me while driving. Car has 29,504 miles this battery should be replaced under warranty but service center is blaming me for it so they won’t honor warranty??? 5100 in repair bill they want me to pay out of pocket.

6 Assist problem of the 2017 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/13/2026

The multifunction adas camera module failed due to "internal error" at only 9 years old. This means that critical safety systems such as automatic emergency braking/lane keep assist malfunctioned and could not assist with avoiding collisions. I took the car to the dealer and they confirmed the issue, and charged me $2000 to fix this critical safety system. I noticed that the new camera assembly has an updated part number, indicating that Honda might have been aware of this failure issue. I have also seen some forum posts online of others having this failure with their 2016-2017 Accords with Honda sensing. Therefore I believe this should warrant a recall. When the failure first occurred upon vehicle startup a few days before I had it repaired, all these systems were disabled and there were multiple warning lamps on the gauge cluster and screen. Prior to this sudden failure, everything had been working fine as intended up until the very day it failed.

7 Assist problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/15/2025

Around 6,000 miles I started noticing a weird sticking sensation in the steering wheel when making small corrections at highway speeds. It feels like the wheel catches on a point near center and needs a little extra force to push through. It's subtle but it's happened enough times to startle me while driving at highway speeds, which is genuinely scary. My dealer looked at it but said they couldn't reproduce the issue and wouldn't take action. On top of that, the lane keeping assist (lkas) has been really erratic. Instead of making smooth corrections to keep me in my lane, it jerks back and forth in a ping-pong pattern. I think it might be connected to the steering issue, but either way it makes highway driving feel unpredictable and unsafe. I'm filing this because both issues together make me uncomfortable driving this car at speed. A steering system that sticks and a lane assist that overcorrects is a bad combination, and I don't think it should be on a car with 6,000 miles on it.

12 Assist problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 10/01/2025

Wednesday 10/01/25 I was driving to work on the highway with cruise control on, it was a empty road with nothing in front or behind me, my steering wheel got yanked out of my hands and turned all the way to the right towards the guard rail, then the steering wheel got yanked all the way to the left automatically, I did a 180 degree spin and crash my 2019 Honda Accord touring 2. 0l. I believe the lane keeping assist system (lkas) was at fault as well as the collision mitigation braking system (cmbs). The vehicle got towed off the highway directly to a local body shop. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Mine and others safety was put at risk because the vehicle decided to crash itself potentially killing me or other people. The vehicle just arrived at the body shop and no diagnosis has been done yet. The vehicle is not drivable so the problem has not been reproduced. Vehicle has not been inspected and looked into yet, I am waiting for the body man to do a deep dive into it or I am planning on bringing it back to the dealership. There was no warning lamps present.

13 Assist problem of the 2021 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 09/11/2025

This Honda continues to have fantom alerts and false warnings that triggers the car to jerk the steering wheel and try to steer you into another lane. I have narrowly avoided crashes more than 50 times. No "safety" system should be able to jerk the wheel out of your hands. You have know for more than 5 years about this defect, why no action? shameful mismanagement that now needs to sued to get a reaction.

15 Assist problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 08/04/2025

The steering clicks in all roads in san francisco, the Hondalink is the worst app never works as expected and the lane keeping assistance sucks, it can’t helps more than a second actually I used to have a Toyota and really works great. The apple carplay sucks in unstable.

16 Assist problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/21/2025

This car has lane keeping assistance but this is very bad, if you let the assistant assist you at 65mph for more than 5 seconds you probably die, because this assistance move you like ping pong from left side to right side. Also this has a very bad quality of steering rack after 30 days starts making noise and they fixed but the noise starts again. I was forced to trade in this car, ocean Honda of burlingame hide reports they also hide from carfax they make services or replace parts but they only stated like tire rotation or driveability check tire pressure check be aware of this.

17 Assist problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

All warning lights turn on on the dash board. I replaced the battery, airbag module, and abs module and I'm still having the same issue.

18 Assist problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/01/2025

I bought this 2019 Honda Accord on June 30th from a company called greenville motor company. July 1st, I took the car to the Honda dealership to get a diagnostic to make sure everything was in good shape. The technician I spoke with did notice the car & stated that it had a problem with the previous owner which was the injectors. She told me that the light may not come on now but it may come on in the future. After I left the Honda dealership, I went to greenville motor company & showed them the diagnosis I had done at Honda. He said he didn't see anything wrong. On July 2nd, all of my dashboard lights came on. Took it back to greenville motor company, the tech there said I could pick it up July 3rd & drive it over the weekend. (basically he reset the lights so they wouldn't come on for a certain period of time). Within this time period I took it back to the Honda dealer & they told me that I also needed a turbo, they gave me the printout for that as well. Took it to greenville motor company, they agreed that I did. Need a turbo. Manager says he ordered turbo. I I don't remember the date I took it back but on July 12th, my dash lights came on again. I took it back to greenville motor company July 14th, July 18th greenville motor company called & said something on top of the turbo wasn't screwed on thats what was triggering the turbo code to show, so he never put on the turbo that he ordered I had it 2 hours & my dash lights came on again.

19 Assist problem of the 2019 Honda Accord

The vehicle has an emission system error along with all other errors, car also hesitates to accelerate. Yes it is dangerous a failing turbocharger can result in a noticeable decrease in engine power, especially at higher speeds. Diagnostic : confirmed by dealership. The car was looked at the dealership mechanics nothing happened to where I need any others. It’s just been lagging getting up into speed etc. It popped up a month ago the emission light and went away. Came back two days ago which today is 6/20. Purchased new. Delivery date August 13, 2024 I've experienced an ongoing issue with the electronics since owning car. First issue was ecm failed. Currently having problems with the lane keeping assist (lkas). The car is alerting me that I'm not staying within my lane which isn't correct, the car then attempts to correct. During the time car alerts of road departure it clearly shows the car diagram within the road diagram. I have pictures taken showing such.

Hi. All the warning lights came on one morning. Looking online many people are have the same issue.

23 Assist problem of the 2023 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/08/2025

The vehicle's suspension is excessively stiff and harsh since new, transmitting all road imperfections, bumps, and irregularities directly to the driver and passengers, causing discomfort and fatigue. Additionally, there is abnormal noise (clunking/rattling/creaking/popping) from the steering rack area, especially when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, over bumps, or when stationary. The suspension components and steering rack assembly are available for inspection upon request. This condition affects safety by causing driver fatigue, reduced comfort/control on uneven roads, and potential distraction from steering noise indicating a possible developing failure in the steering system. The problems have been inspected and repair attempted by authorized Honda dealers on multiple occasions, but the issues persist and have not been resolved. The vehicle or component has been inspected by dealer service centers.

All the lights in the car turn on. I have no clue what the problem is. I have searched the internet and have encountered many people with the same problem. With no one finding a solution to it. 25 Assist problem of the 2025 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 01/03/2025

This problem is more noticeable when you are in a highway, going at highway speeds. The vehicle pulls to the sides on the lane, like it is trying to correct you as if you were moving out of the lane. Sometimes when it moves to the right, and you correct it, then it moves to the left. We purchased this vehicle on [xxx] with 26 miles on it. By the time the vehicle had 90 miles on it, we knew it had to go to the dealer because what we were feeling was not normal. We took the vehicle to the dealer, and drove it with a technician who noticed the problem immediately. The vehicle stayed at the dealer overnight, and the following day the dealer contacted us to pick up the vehicle. They told us that they had checked the vehicle, and sent information to Honda that they asked for. Honda said all the parameters in the car were correct, and there was nothing to fix. We drove the vehicle with the technician again, and he told us that he had driven another new car from their inventory, and felt the same problem, not as bad but he felt it. We drove the car with him a second time us driving, and again he noticed it and pointed out when it was doing it, because he could feel it as a passenger. The technician told Honda that even though the vehicle met all the parameters, there was something wrong because he could feel it. We called Honda directly and started a case on this matter. ( case # [xxx]) the following week a technician from Honda came to town, and the dealer called us to take the car in so he could check it himself. They would not tell us what he found out, but they said that he was going to check with a facility they have in California to see if they had any information on this matter. Even though they did not confirm anything he obviously noticed the problem, if he had not what would be the point of looking further. A week later they asked for the car again, the problem is getting worse the car is unsafe to drive, and we are waiting on Honda. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information.

27 Assist problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/12/2024

The instrument panel display combined with the front sensor camera failed. This risked my live as well as others lives on the road due to the ill ability to predict when it will fail as well as the difficulty to control the sporadic behavior. The lane keep assist system would also overcorrect and have very strong and hard to control corrections with the wheel. The instrument panel would also turn off mid drive and I would not be able to see my speedometer. It has been seen by multiple diffferent Honda service centers and no one can figure out the issue. Camera issues have been recalled on previous models.

29 Assist problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/09/2024

Lane assist issues. During the time inwhiche I've had the Honda lane assist on I've experienced the car wanting to abruptly change direction, system acted as if it was trying to avoid a collision or navigate a non existing turn object in path. I'm also experiencing issues with the tsr system - Honda traffic sign recognition (tsr). This system will show a stop sign, yield sign when there isn't any sign of any type around. I'm also experiencing time when it's indicates I'm traveling in a wrong way direction as a sign in instrument panel will appear showing a red sign with a black mark across which indicates a do not enter. This could cause an accident if happening to a driver in a unfamiliar area as they might come to an ubrupt stop thinking their going in a wrong direction or going to run a stop sign. Note: I keep my car extremely clean, taking care to clean windshield a area where radar is placed on front grill.

32 Assist problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/04/2024

Purchased my car brand new. Within 1. 5 years I've had to have 2 steering racks replaced and another component replaced within the steering column. Currently my lane keeping assist problem is on and I'm waiting to get appt confirmation from the service dept manager. My infotainment center went black and quit working and had to be replaced a little over a year after purchasing the car. The paint began peeling off my front bumper within 6 months of purchasing the car. I'm currently dealing with the Honda I purchased from to try to come to a resolution of this issue since I don't want my brand new car to have a bumper repainted and possibly not match and have it show up on a carfax report. Also have what the dealership calls "fisheyes" under the clear coat of the factory paint. Approx 20-25 spots on my entire car. The dealership said they could "buff" the places but shouldnt have left the factory in that condition. The body shop that Honda sent me too said once they started buffing on the "fisheyes" that they couldn't guarantee that the buffing of the spots would correct the issue or if they would need to repaint which I'm not ok with since it is a brand new car and paint might not even match the rest of the car. Also', I should add that all the maintenance and repairs have been completed at the dealership where I purchased my car brand new.

33 Assist problem of the 2020 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/28/2024

During a forward-side lane departure collision in my 2020 Honda Accord, the body control module (bcm), forward collision radar system, braking assist, and vehicle stability assist (vsi) all failed to activate. As a result, the vehicle did not brake, warn, or stabilize before impact. The airbags also failed to deploy during the crash. My safety and the safety of others were put at serious risk, as the vehicle did not respond as designed despite being equipped with these systems. The car is now undrivable but available for inspection. This issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer due to the car's condition, but similar failures have been reported in other 2020 Honda Accords already under recall. The insurance company did not request vehicle data and did not inspect the systems. There were no warning lamps, alerts, or messages prior to the failure; the malfunction occurred without notice. I am requesting that this vehicle be added to the existing recall list related to bcm and safety system failures.

34 Assist problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 05/23/2024

We purchased a Honda Accord ( VIN and details below) , and after few weeks ( within 380 miles of driving, the car stopped in the middle of the road with a whole bunch of dtc's lighting up. The dtc's were indicating brake system malfunction, internal temperature high, lkas malfunction etc. Had to tow the car to dealership.

35 Assist problem of the 2024 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 04/20/2024

Driving at highway speed with cruise control active, cruise turns off and car immediately feels like manual steering and accelerator harder to push. Warning lights displayed adaptive cruise, lane departure and brake system, see dealer. Exited the highway and restarted the car. Lights went off. Taking to dealer via appointment. Dealer says they can't determine whether or not there could be danger of driving the vehicle and can't get the car in for more than a week, leaving me without transportation should something go wrong.
