When lane keep assist is enabled high speed steering becomes harder to turn left or right, and get sticky at the center position. This leads to an increased effort needed to turn the steering wheel wheel either left or right past the center position.

My Honda Accord 2018 with 49,000+ mileage suddenly showed multiple warning lights on the dashboard causing parking break to malfunction; acc, collision assist malfunctions and many other warning lights appeared. I brought it to Honda waldorf maryland and they told me it was definitely the 2 rear calipers as they diagnosed, but this did not solve the problem after replacements. After about 3 days with my vehicle still with them, they told me that it was the module that is malfunctioning; I can no longer refuse them because my car has been there for several days and it's only the Honda that can fix this as the service rep stated and I really need my car. On the other hand, I checked Honda website and called them that there are recalls on the Honda Accord 2018 - 2020 modules. Unfortunately, my VIN is not included even it clearly states that Honda Accord 2018 is included as stated on their website (see attachments).

Every warning light is turned on my vehicle. Dealer said it’s the fuel injectors however riverside is out of stock. Due to fuel injectors my line assist, emergency collision and cruise control does not work. Parts are not available on any auto zone or any other car part dealers. I’m worried my car might start a fire or some type of mechanical failure during my driving. Online shows multiple people having the same issue and recommends not buying a Honda. Please help, thank you.

My daughter and I just bought this 2022 Honda Accord on 04/29/2023. On 6/28/2023, she was headed home, driving north, and was coming to the busy intersection of a county road and highway. She went to brake, but the brakes did not respond. In order to avoid hitting another vehicle, she swerved and blew through the intersection. Thank goodness she did not hit anyone in the intersection and no one hit her. It could have been so bad. She did come to rest in a farmer's field on the northeast corner of the intersection. According to the shop that is currently processing the claim with state farm and investigating the repairs and damage, many error lights are lit up on the dash as relates to the brakes, forward collision warning, and emergency braking. They indicated that they need to work with Honda to clear, verify, and repair everything related to those codes. The vehicle is scheduled to be towed to Honda of greeley on Wednesday, 7/19/2023. In my research, I did see the NHTSA acknowledgment of recall letter just signed on 06/22/2023 by alex ansley for the 2022 Honda Accord, indicating that a recall would be issued in regards to an issue with the brakes, that may be related to my daughter's accident. I also read further that the actual recall letters would be mailed out 07/24/2023. I am just not sure if this would also cover the 2022 Honda Accord hybrid.

Hello I am proudly owner of Honda since 2003 I only buy Honda cars and recently on my 2017 Honda we have issues with sensing system this error codes come and goes and I went to dealer and they told me to replace sensing camara in front but I think it is just manufacturing defects because error code come and goes while you drive car. I cannot use any feature such as cruise control, forwarding collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance and all features including in sensing system. I was on long distance trip and when I was coming back all those errors started coming.

The adaptive cruise system on this vehicle will get you rear ended real fast. It applies the brakes whenever it feels like it, when you make a turn while passing a truck it will slam on the brakes so hard it tries to throw you thru the windshield and all you are doing is passing a truck in a turn the lane departure is dangerous because it fights you in a turn to the point you have to fight to stay in lane and it shakes the steering wheel which seems to me would be the last thing you want to have happen.

No accident to report. Just feel the vsa brake modulator part should be a Honda recall. Mine has failed… and I see online that the connector wires are too thin, and this vsa brake modulator is a widespread problem in Honda Accords from 2012-17. All the dashboard warning lights kick on. Anti skid, fcw, abs!.

Multitude of dash warning lights are on. Honda dealership says the modulator assembly needs replaced. They say its backordered and have no idea when to expect it. I have seen on the internet that other customers are asking the same question. It seems dangerous since I have no idea or what safety systems are working.

I down loaded my update through the radio. It said complete. I went into the house and the next morning I started it and a bunch of warning lights were on and have stayed on. I can not use some of the buttons on the drivers door, I can not use my key fob unless it is touching the start stop button, I can not open the trunk, the gas cap will not open, and most of all I have lost some power to the interior fuse box. This car is only 5 years old almost to the date and it has had multiple recalls already. I want the bcm reprogrammed and fixed so all this will go away.

In more than a couple of instances the vehicle has miscalculated the need for emergency braking causing the vehicle to suddenly brake in traffic and also when the lane keeping assist system was activated, in which no braking was necessary and no vehicle or pedestrian was nearby at all. There has not been any accident as of yet, but the possibility of incident is there. This has been happening since the vehicle was acquired.

Lights all came on at once while traveling and highway. Car jerking. Cam shaft sensor malfunction braking malfunction adaptive cruise control auto high beam problem road departure mitigation emissions system problem avoid high acceleration.

My car will warn me of impeding collision when there is nothing in front of my car, it will brake randomly or tell me to brake at unnecessary times, it will move the steering wheel when it suspects I am departing a lane even though I am not departing a lane.

All dashboard warning lights come on. (brakes, vsc, steering, etc) message says take to dealer. After doing a google search, it appears to be a common issue for Honda Accords for 2018 and newer. They will come on and either stay on for days/weeks at a time and then just go off on their own. Dealer has no solution.

Road departure mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, lane keep assist problem, collision mitigation system problem - lights all started to turn on in 2017 Honda Accord touring. Took the car to the dealer. Was told that the entire srs system has failed. The car was bought in 2017 brand new from the dealer and has never been in a car accident. Unclear why a five year old car is already having electrical system failure. Car won’t pass inspection and this is a $1000 repair.

All dashboard warning lights come on and after doing a google search, it appears to be a common issue for Honda Accords for 2018 and newer. They will come on and either stay on for days/weeks at a time and then just go off on their own. Every time I schedule to have it serviced and run a diagnostic test, by the time I get to the service center, the lights have gone off and they are unable to run a diagnostic without the warning lights being on. Only was able to get a diagnostic once as Honda doesn't run diagnostics on weekends and I work during the week. The warnings that show up in my Hondalink are: *engine system problem *electric power steering problem *cmbs problem *adaptive cruise control problem *cmbs problem my car is regularly service at the Honda dealership and currently has less than 48,000 miles. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? all warning lights on the dashboard come on randomly how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? it says vehicle may roll upon brake release, collicion mitigation braking system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, brake hold system problem, electric power steering problem, vehicle stability assist problem - reduced traction and handling, adaptive cruise control system problem, and all say "see your dealer" has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, but they had no real solution (not the location where I purchased my vehicle - only offered to do what wasn't covered under my warranty so that the "tech can get paid" (never again will I go to stonecrest Honda in lithonia, GA) has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? inspected/diagnostic ran at autozone were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no warnings - just all lights come on.

When driving down the highway with lane keeping assist, system gets confused. System tries to correct itself even though car is in the middle of the lane and eventually breaks while on the highway.

I Honda Accord recently has been displaying up to 17 error messages out of the blue. It doesn’t matter if I’m going 30 mph or 80 mph. It happens randomly and there is a power loss associated with it. It is happened to me on the highway and was extremely scary. I have disconnected the battery and the lights will go off for a little bit but randomly sometimes the same day sometimes a day after all of the lights will come back on and all of the safety feature shut off. I’ve spoke with Honda and they have no known understanding of this happening but there are many many forums of this happening between multiple models of their vehicles around the 2018 range.

While driving on numerous occasions and my 2022 Honda Accord the automatic emergency braking is activated out of nowhere there will be either no cars ahead of me or cars in opposite lanes but nothing in mine. I've had this car for about 3 months an it has happened at least 4 times. No accidents have happened because of this however it easily could have resulted in one. Also I'm filling and complaining about the lane keeping assist. Multiple times ive be driving with the lane keeping assist on hands on the wheel and all of a sudden it'll try to jerk me off the road this is extremely dangerous. If I'd have been paying less attention I would have definitely ended up in a ditch or worse.

Two times while driving on the highway at 75-80 mph with cmbs system on and utilizing acc. Out of nowhere, vehicle drops speed, acc off notice comes on and an alert stating collision mitigation braking system problem. See dealer pops up. . At this point, I have to quickly react to increase speed on gas pedal and avoid someone hitting me from behind. I am not able to re-engage the acc the remainder of the travel. After turning off the vehicle, the cmbs resets and acc is available again. This is not possible to do while driving on a highway. The second time it happened, I was changing lanes into the passing lane on left and I seriously could have been hit due to my speed deceleration. I took the vehicle straight to the dealer and the guy checking me in said they get a lot of those system errors. This is not reassuring! they ran a diagnostic, step by step the advisor said, only to say the system shows no issue. This is not acceptable to me as I do not feel safe driving. In addition, the lane keeping assist lkas feature also malfunctions. When there are shadows on the road, my car wants to swerve and steer me incorrectly. My car also will display a giant orange brake warning when nothing is in front of me. One time it braked so hard that my seatbelt locked up and everything on my passenger seat slid off the seat. Thankfully, nobody was immediately behind me because I could have been hit for the sudden and unanticipated braking.

Lkas was part of the package included on this particular Accord ex-l sensing model, when started in the early morning all safety lights turned on. The car just have a 66,731 miles on it. The car has never been on an a accident nor have any damage on the windshield or the front of the car. Immediately took it to the dealer close to me on June 28, 2022 they told me it was not covered by the warranty, I was charged for diagnostics $180 and for repairs was going to cost me $1,698. 36 at the time iwas on the impression it was under extended warranty paid in advance until 100k miles. I paid for safety features that broke on their own due to manufacturing failure issues.

As I am driving over 50 mph in traffic my 2019 Honda Accord will automatically brake in the middle of traaffic almost causing accidents. The mitigation system will fail and prompt on the cluster electric parking brake problem, electrical power steering problem, rdm problem, cmbs problem, adaptive cruise control problem this so called safety features are being a safety problem.

This is the third Accord I've owned, and none of them have been issue-free, but this one (2020) is the worst. I bought this car in March of 2021 with only 6 miles on it. Within a week it started to throw occasional notifications, which I called the dealership and asked about. They assured me that it was just a hiccup and to bring it in for a factory reset. They performed this reset, and the car appeared to be fine after that. But - less than two weeks later, it started showing the four lkas/cmbs lights and dash prompts - brake system problem, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system, and adaptive cruise control system 'problems', each saying 'see your dealer'. Made an appointment to bring it back in, and on my way to the dealership - having the car for only one month at this point - I was rear-ended by a pick-up truck at the red light turning onto the dealership street (he admitted he wasn't paying attention). Long story short, the car was repaired, Honda factory specs were (supposedly) restored, set and verified, and my car was returned to me. It was fine until about another month later, when it started to show the alerts again - more frequently than before. Contacted the dealer again, asked for troubleshooting assistance again, and they said they were booked. I took this time to look for this issue on-line, and found many incidents of other Accord owners experiencing these same issues plus several others (of which I also had a few - namely, the fuel delivery system frequently acting like it is running out of gas) - most saying no matter how long the service shop had their car, the issue did not get fixed. Not one. I could not afford to be without my car for an extended period of time, so I continued my research, seeing that none of the owners got resolution by the dealers, so I resolved to just 'live with the issues' as the actual car drove fine (except for the fuel issue). It happens every day.

If I have the lane keeping assistance on and go through an intersection the car beeps break!!.

The vehicle has a camera that reads speed limit signs, and reports the current speed limit in the instrument cluster. This feature does not work as expected, and the car regularly reports wildly inaccurate speeds, such as a speed limit of 10 mph on a highway, or a speed limit of 85 mph in the city. This happened on numerous occasions. The vehicle does not have an option to disable this feature. As a result, it is distracting for the driver, and may also cause accidents by giving false information about the road to the driver.

While driving around 65 mph on the freeway, the car suddenly became hard to steer. The electronic power steering seemed to fail, and multiple warning lights simultaneously appeared on the dashboard (vehicle stability assist, tire pressure, power steering, engine). I was in the middle of merging into another lane, and the wheel became jerky and less responsive. The car swerved, but I was able to regain control and pull over. I restarted the car a few times, but this did not resolve the issue. The next day, the power steering returned and the warning lights were no longer on. After driving locally for a few minutes (30+ mph), the power steering failed again, and the cluster of warning lights returned. The power steering continues to fail intermittently while driving, but will return seemingly randomly. I was able to bring the car to a certified Honda dealer, and my service advisor let me know the problem may be related to a known issue with the torque sensor, which had its warranty extended to 13 years in 2013 - 2014 Accords (TSB warranty extension 15-056). After inspecting my car, the error code dtc 85-01 was discovered (eps - vsa malfunction), but it was not covered under the warranty extension (dtc 53-01 / 53-02). The service advisor determined "the problem is the gearbox internally not the outside sensors" and that the steering rack should be replaced at my expense (~$2500). I believe my safety and the safety of others was put at risk because this sudden loss of control could have led to a collision with a driver or pedestrian. This component is necessary to safely drive the car, and I believe the manufacturer is responsible for the premature failure of this component without warning. No warning lights were on prior to this incident, and there was no known history of symptoms/issues related to steering or other major components. No history of accidents. The car with faulty steering gearbox is available for inspection (2013 Honda Accord lx).

On March 21st, 2022, I was driving between 35-40mph in clear conditions. I had adaptive cruise control, and lane mitigation on. My vehicle flashed “brake” on the instrument cluster and hud. The vehicle slammed on the brakes. The braking force was strong enough to lurch me forward and in the process of the vehicle braking, my steering wheel veered to the left and I almost hit a divided barrier. There were no cars in front of me or any obstructions in the way that would have activated the emergency braking. This is the second time in a year my car has done this, but the first time that the braking changed the vehicle’s direction.

Vehicle safety collision system has tried to stop my vehicle on at least 3 occasions when nothing was in front of it. Happened on highway. Vehicle sensed a ghost and slammed on the brakes. The cmbs system gives errors often and tries to shut systems down and brake the car while traveling. Happens often and has happened since the car was new. Dealer has no idea about issues.

As I was driving straight about 40 mph, the steering assist failure warning, lane assist failure warning, and power steering failure warnings all came on at the same time. Had I been going around a curve or turning I would've crashed, because the steering locked up and it was extremely difficult to steer. The failures and electronic warnings cleared as I was driving the car to the dealer the following morning.

Collision braking mitigation system experienced two errors (descriptions unknown). Received error message warning on display panel, but no description of errors. Cmbs, lkas, speed limit sign sensing, etc. All failed. Turning vehicle off and on several times did not restore the system. Vehicle drove fine, but all safety features were disabled.

--automatic braking: when I first purchased car in 2021, the automatic emergency braking engaged abruptly 3 times within the first 3000 miles of driving the car. I was unable to get a resolution through dealer, local Honda service centers or Honda corp. I turn off the feature each time I start my car, but I'm told by Honda service that there is no way to disable feature to prevent safety hazard. --lane keeping assistance: since purchasing car in 2021, my lane keeping assistance does not work properly and pretty often will actually try to pull the car out of lane both on local roads and more often on the interstate. I have the feature disabled for safety.
