9 Ball Joint problem of the 2012 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/25/2014

My complaint is about safety negligence, on the corporate site for Honda and I quote states “your safety is our priority”. I took my car to get checked for a knocking noise and was told ball joints recommended to be replaced. I asked if it was safe to drive and was told yes by service advisor. After being charge for apparently tighten rods. Apparently the certified technicians neglect safety of the customer and also have attitudes towards customers was told this when brought car in and I quote “so you know more than the Honda engineers”. The front left wheel of my car came off (where the noise was coming from) after taking it to the dealer and being charged for tighten rods. Now dealer is blaming me for the wheel coming of when I was told that the car was safe to drive. My complaint resolution should be Honda techs/dealer should be held liable for their safety neglect and should repair the damages that have cost me to my vehicle which I have work hard for.

10 Ball Joint problem of the 2000 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 04/28/2014

Took vehicle to mechanic to inspect wheel noise. Inspection resulted in replacement of ball joint. Inspection also revealed 80-85% rust-out of subframe on passenger side. No other undercarriage rust is evident and the vehicle is otherwise in excellent condition. This is the same area of the subframe which has been reported as a 'defect' due to factory placement of the a/c drain hose. This is a dangerous condition waiting to happen.

11 Ball Joint problem of the 2003 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 03/24/2014

Someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!! on the above date, I started my car & proceeded to clean rain water from the windshield. The wipers would not come on, nor would the radio. This is just a couple of ongoing things that I've experienced with this car, since I've purchased it. My mechanic says the wipers are factory defects. Whew, not again!!!! ugh! when's it going to end. I'm one of those people who depend on my car fro everything because of my college student so, I'm anal on the maintenance. We just put in new ball joints and he tells me the suspension is faulty so, it will cause me to replace the joints again in the future. I opted for the lesser of the two because, it's a factory issue. I've received a couple of recall notices however, upon taking the car to the dealer, once they kept it& claimed to fix the steering issues however, they still exist. I took it a second time, they had the car all of 20 mins. And told me that this issue was fixed previously. I'm continuously having issues with the steering whining, no matter how many times I service the fluids. My radio & electrical systems in the car, is constantly on the blink or not working. Now the passenger window decides not to go up. One day, as I was exiting the vehicle (turned off!) it decided to roll backwards. Luckily both feet were not out the car and I could catch it! I've invested so much money in keeping this car running until my mechanic knows what going wrong before the recalls come out. He's serviced so many "03" Accords, until he's thinking of becoming a specialist for Hondas. I just want Honda to correct all recalls on my vehicle. My student depends on it. ! how are these car manufacturers allowed to keep robbing its customers??? my address has changed since my last complaint. See below.

13 Ball Joint problem of the 2012 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 09/05/2012

The car makes a popping noise when the brakes are pressed or released. The longer the car is driven, the louder the noise. The dealership service told me it was a problem with the ball joints on the 2012 models and could not be repaired at this time. I feel this is a safety issue as well as cause my tires to wear prematurely. The dealership told me I would have to wait until the new parts are available to see if that will fix the problem.

17 Ball Joint problem of the 2000 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 10/15/2007

2000 Honda. Catastrophic failure of front left ball joint. (see prior recall of Hondas 1998-1999 for this, also. ) left urn into a driveway, from virtual standstill. Left front ball-joint/knuckle failed, suspension collapse, tearing away of undercarriage, wheel collapse.

18 Ball Joint problem of the 1998 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 08/15/2002

Right front ball joint collapsed -separated from suspension, luckily while entering a driveway, at slow speed - car became immobile. This recall exists as campaign #99v069000 for this year and model, but According to Honda, not for this car's VIN number. Leads me to think that this is more prevalent than at first thought.
