1 Tank Filler Pipe And Cap problem of the 2008 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/12/2009

Engine malfunction light came on. Tightened fuel cap per om. Days later took to dealer for service. Dealer discovered that allegedly an animal had crawled above gas tank (below rear seat/frame) & gnawed away some of the plastic or vr valve attached to the gas tank creating a "pinhole" leak for fuel vapor & liquid. . . . Assembly requires replacement of whole gas tank.

2 Tank Filler Pipe And Cap problem of the 2007 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/04/2007

Check gas cap started flashing in the odometer section. I had recently filled up three days earlier. Found out later that you have to turn the gas cap until you hear three clicks (not just one). One click or no clicks will cause the error to show up. It took a few days for the check cap error to show up. I tightened the gas cap correctly and drove 15 miles and the error cleared itself. Other than the self-induced error my Accord has run perfectly.

It was $3000 to fix. 2 years later with only 140000 miles my transmission went out again. $3000 to fix. It now has 170000 miles and is starting to slip. It also stalls with no warning. It has stalled many times in the middle of an intersection. Honda replaced the ignition switch 1 month ago and since it has continued to stall. Honda will no longer fix it.

6 Tank Filler Pipe And Cap problem of the 1998 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 04/01/2000

1) the emergency brake light came on and would not go off. A bump would finally make it go off. Paid to have fuel cap replaced, didn't help. Put fuel cap of 2000 Accord on, didn't help. Disabled sensor from cap, finally resolved light issue. Became invalid, and drove with brake on several times due to frequency of light being on. 2) srs light came on without reason. Diagnostic checks (3) indicated nothing was wrong. Finally replaced the sensor and problem was resolved.
