Wheel Problems of Honda Accord - part 2

For wheels tpms system warning keeps turning on stating I have low tire pressure. I would check tire pressure and it is normal 33-34psi which is the recommended tire pressure by Honda. I would recalibrate the tpms and it would turn back on after driving 20 miles. I do this daily and Honda dealers claim there is no issue. When I turn on a curving road if there are cars parked on the street the emergency brake system would turn on and start braking.

Within 15k miles the cars wheel bearing completely went and needed to be replaced. The steering in my opinion hasn’t been the same since. I’ve had it in the shop 3-4 different times in relation to the wheels/steering. The car will also randomly brake as if it’s going to hit something when forward collision assistance is on. It’s nearly got me rear ended 3 times. The original dealership I took it too since I was out of town put that something was hit when in truth I never said that and it was actually the tow trucks wench that damaged the dust shield.

The vehicle fell from jack during roadside tire change. Vehicle was lifted According to instructions in manual. Jacking equipment very lightweight. I was forced to obtain roadside assistance to compete tire change. Jacking equipment is too lightweight for the weight of the car.

Tire pressure monitoring system repeatedly indicates low tire pressure. Issue has existed since automobile purchase. Dealer has repeatedly reset the system only to have the tpms system repeat the warning (four days after most recent reset). Dealer has been unable to resolve the repeated warnings. I feel this system is not measuring the intended tire pressure values properly as the tires have not been underinflated when the warnings activate. The safety system is not operating properly.

The car shuffles on the concrete highway and causes a safety issue, and we cannot drive safely in this new vehicle purchase. I contacted my dealer smat Honda, and Honda. Com within 3 days and told them that I cannot drive the car, and I want to return it. It’s a safety risk, and it causes vertigo for both me and my wife.

1. The steering system is malfunctioning. My steering is loose and choppy when returning to the center. It feels as if my tires are gliding/skating across the road. 2. I feel like I don't have control of my car. 3. The dealers claim nothing is wrong with my car. 4. Yes, it has been inspected by Honda east and kings performance Honda and both dealerships claim there is no issue. 5. The issue first appeared over a month ago and there were no warnings, sounds, or messages only a feeling through the steering wheel/column.

I just saw the new Honda civic recall for wheels falling off and it reminded me to report this. On January 6, 2022 I was driving down I-29 from grand forks to fargo and about 60 miles into my trip I thought I had a flat tire. I pulled over at the next exit and found I was missing 3 lug bolts and nuts, 1 lug nut with the bolt still attached, and my wheel was hanging on by just 1 lug bolt + nut. It looked like 3 or the bolts sheared off while I was driving. There was absolutely no prior warning or indication before this happened. I was doing about 75 mph and, from what I remember, it was about -20f outside. I had my car towed to a local mechanic, tuffy tire and auto servicr, and they fixed it. If my tire fell off at 75 mph I almost certainly would’ve ended up hitting another car or going into the ditch. The problem hasn’t been reproduced by a local dealer, but the tuffy tire and auto care in fargo, nd should still have records/invoice about my service. My Honda Accord has been inspected by rydell Honda in grand forks, nd and they should have records of my lug nuts coming loose because I brought it in multiple times and I think they had to order a part for it. Another time, I think in late 2022 or 2023, I had my tires rotated at rydell Honda in grand forks, nd and I drove about 90 miles and my lug nuts came loose on one wheel. I had to pull over and tighten them, but there was damage to the wheel. I believe rydell Honda has records about this incident as well.

The seatbelt and airbag collision sensor stopped working. The air pressure monitoring system sensor stopped working. The brake sensor suddenly goes off when no vehicle or person is in the way.

20,000 miles on my 2018 Honda Accord. The tires on this vehicle makes a loud, flopping noise which is very annoying. I took it to the realer , and they suggested new tires and wheel alignment with only 20 thousand miles.

Tl the contact owns a 2020 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was a thumping sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to imperial valley Honda (664 thomas lane, el centro, CA 92243) where the vehicle was diagnosed and the contact was informed that the rear wheels could not be adjusted while performing an alignment on the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that he should purchase a camber adjuster kit to fix the issue with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was informed that if the vehicle is not under warranty there would be no assistance provided. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

I was was physically there, I was told by one of the advisor that they ran out of parts. No future appointment were made by the dealership. Not sure what is means but this was written under comments :da212407, from the "complimentary multi point inspection" form. Personal arrangements were made to leave my car based on my convenience; the road conditions were very icy and treacherous to get there; my ride back home was waiting in the parking lot. After going through the process of checking in my car and leaving the dealership, then I received a phone call from one of the employees (yvonne) they could not accommodate me. In addition, I called your vehicle safety hotline yesterday 2//02/20/2021 to report this but your office was closed. I am very disappointed in the customer service I experienced. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation with this matter.

I was driving on a city road/side street at approximately 25 mph, when I turned right onto another street the vehicle jerked or seized slightly, could not control the steering and heard metal scraping on the road. Stopped vehicle immediately. Front passenger side of tire popped off was turned at about 45 degree angle and broke off the arm, ball and joint. This occurred on a relatively smooth road, no obstacles in road. Did not hit a pothole when this occurred or other object, the tire and ball and joint just broke off the arm. I believe it also damaged the drive shaft.

I was driving regularly at the normal speed limit and hit a huge pothole more like a crater and now I immediately got a flat tire on which is a brand new tire. I should not have to pay for this.

Car was in motion on county road when the steering wheel took over the operation of the vehicle and went odd the road into a wooded area. Towed to nick nicholas Ford who telephoned to tell me that the problem cannot be repaired. I then had to total said vehicle. 30;000 plus miles is too low mileage for this to happen. I purchased the vehicle in September of 2018. Since then to date, 12/08/2020, I've replaced the tires twice. The two rear tire have repeatedly worn down severely in a short time frame, cupping, wavey pattern. I've had three alignments done in this timeframe as well. No one knows what to do. This does not look good for such a respected car brand. I've owned multiple Hondas. I probably won't be making another purchase.

Low tire warning light comes on when your tires aren't low. Have seen several complaints online about the same thing. Believe this is dangerous as a person driving on a interstate could ignore the light believing the reading of low tire is false when in reality it may not. Tire goes flat at high speeds or blow out could cause a major accident. Have contacted the dealer and they said they are aware but cannot do anything. Also said the result of the warning could be weather or road conditions. Our vehicle is under warranty with 30,800 miles. There are sending units for each tire. If this has been a problem with Honda's then why are they allowed to,keep producing this defect. Light comes on often and it is very aggravating to keep checking the air in our tires every couple of days. It has happened several days as I took it to a tire dealer and they found there was proper air in the tires on 10/26/2020. It doesn't make any difference if the vehicle is moving or stopped.

At 49,000 miles I'm on my second set of tires and needing a new set. My serviceman recommended I add a camber kit to my car in the rear (rear wheels) or I'll have to keep replacing my tires. This is getting very expensive. I have my tires checked and rotated every oil change.

I was driving down fairforest road in spartanburg. I tried to swiftly drive around a small pothole and once I did I hit an even bigger hole that should have been the edge of the road but was missing. It blew my two right tires and also bent the actual metal part of my wheel. The receipt pictured was to replace my rubber part (two tires) and the towing expense. I'll have to get the metal part replaced or repaired. I don't have a quote for the repair but to replace it completely will cost $500 more dollars.

Vehicle makes a mild to moderate noise from the front wheel when traveling at low speed. The noise can be characterized as something rubbing together. It should like metal on metal. I just purchased this vehicle two weeks ago. I took it to Honda. They claimed it was the rear pads and rotors. I still hear it and after a google search I noticed hundreds more people who bought 2016-17 models are affected with no fixes or acknowledge by Honda. I'm concerned about the safety. Purchased June 13, 2020. . Shortly after noticed it's light on dash was on. . I have just become aware what it is, it is still on all the time. . Within a week or two I got an oil change and they suggested I get 2 new tires and a flange on the exhaust would need repaired soon. . A few weeks ago I purchased 2 new tires upon returning home front flashers only began to blink intermittently it continues to do this occasionally. . I called discount tire that same day and they didn't know if anything had to be reset so I have been continuously looking for answers so now I have come across the recalls and common problems. The tpms. Light came on after a 2 hour drive home and all tires were 10-12 lbs pressure low. . What is going on. .

I have been informed by the Honda dealership that the factory continental tires placed on by Honda, have a tread pattern that at low speeds makes the small noise I am hearing because it is loose from the wheel. That is a major safety concern, and this occurs when the vehicle is moving at a slow rate of speed you can hear a grinding from the wheels that is actually the tire. This problem needs to be addressed especially when Honda has known about it.

A few months I started have a problem withe the my car . I let my car for short time like less than one hour with the emergency lights on . . But the engine was off (the car was stationary). So when I was about to leave from the place where I were I star the engine and it didn't work and all the light go on like crazy and 3 message showed on the screen that said it was safety to drive and there's a problem with the break system problem , anti-break system problem and tire pressure monitor system. So I called the dealer and they told me that maybe it was something wrong with the battery so they told to turn off and turn the engine on again and they told me that he drives it for a certain time and all the lights on the dash go out and since maybe it was because of the high temperatures we had. But it was like that I mean the car is still running "good" but I'm not fell safety . I already took the the dealer where I bought and first time they didn't do anything because all the light go out so they said they didn't found anything so the second time the happened the same thing I recorded a video and photos so I show them an the way the star doing a full check of everything so they didn't found any thing and still appears those 3 message a when I star the engine not all the time but they didn't fixed anything and they don't want to change for r another car . . I dont know what to do.

When driving at a very slow speed I can hear what sounds like rubbing. As the car gets up to speed the sound is still there, but not as noticeable with all of the other noises during driving. It sounds like the brakes are getting stuck or have a slow release. There is no visual damage to the rotor or brake pads, but the wheel noise is still there. I've seen many people have this same issue with no fix available. I don't care if its known to happen because of the tire/rim package, or whatever. Fix the issue! this is a recurring issue that no one seems to be on the hunt for the fix. This is a safety issue.

Car taken to dealer for scrubbing noise from front end. Each time told nothing wrong. Rust on rotors from rain. Noise has progressed louder dealer still says nothing wrong can sand rotors for $139 per axle but sound will return. Car has 26,000 miles. Online forum reports same noise for the same make/model. Car scrubbing sound while in motion/braking.

The air bag was fixed by Honda dealer free but now it shows the red light. Automatic emerlgency brake light lane keeping assistance.

We're working with our field engineers to understand the issue and are in the process of calling in parts. Vehicles covered in this TSB: 2016 Honda Accord, 2017 Honda Accord. They have yet to fix this problem and Honda claims its the new continental tires they use on these cars. Now that my car is going out of warranty, I believe this is what Honda wants to happen.

Bought used 2007 Accord from dealer that had put on new yokohama avid ascent tires mfr'd in 2015 (cc2084p2715, cc2084p0815, p205/60r16 91t). Two yrs and 25k miles later, one tire went flat and couldn't be repaired. Figured just ran over something and replaced. Now, 4 yrs and 45k miles later another tire is splitting apart along the edge of the tread and sidewall, with the other two starting to show similar but less separation. Tire has 80,000 mi warranty yet appears to be unsafe. Attaching a photo. Will take it to a tire dealer who sells yokohama and see if they can help in anyway.
