After driving the vehicle and stopping to park, we smelled the scent of gasoline. Brought the car to the Honda dealership and they found a "flaw" where the gas nozzel/neck connection (or weld) to the main gas tank was slowly leaking gas. The service person at the Honda dealership had never seen that kind of flaw or defect before. It was suggested that we order a new gas tank with the gas nozzel/neck connector. I'm thinking the weld between the two parts may be a weak link on cars similar to ours and want to report it.

There is a leak from my gas tank. Car is in good condition. Took to get a diagnostic ran and there is no ramage, rust, rodant chewing, or puncture. It is leak from the tank/ where the connector valve is. My car was stationary from Thursday evening until 3 pm on Friday in my parking spot behind the house. Going out ot my car I turned it on, finished putting my things in the trunk. Preceded to get into the car and I smelled gas even stronger. I almost drove off but the smell was overpowering I was afraid. I decided to turn car off and step away 4 feet where I still could smell gas. I saw it leaking. It was taken away by a tow truck.

I started my car and noticed a gasoline smell. Drivers side door was open. While the car was still running I stepped around to check the exhaust and noticed liquid pouring from underneath my car on the drivers side near the rear wheel. I realized this was gasoline coming from somewhere near the gas tank. It only poured out when it the cars ignition was in the the 2nd position and running - meaning while the fuel system was under pressure. Having it towed at great expense to carmax. I could have died had I not seen this huge leak!!!.

Fuel line failure above the gas tank. The fuel line has a cut which allowed gas to pour out which could have caused a major problem including fatalities.
The sensor of the gas tank (I mean capkess sensor) fail to stop when finish to fill it up with gasoline, producing the gas to coming out and there's 100% of 🔥 fire at the gas station causing a dangerous situation for many people in the gas station. This risk never happen with my cr-v 2009 and Nissan sentra 2009.

Capless gas tank always backflows and spills gas onto the car if I wait for the gas pump to auto shut off. This never happened with any of the older cars I have owned. To avoid this from happening now I manually stop the gas pump before the tank is full.
Got a check engine light on and it says something to do with fluke tank.
There is a leak from the gas tank on the 2013 Honda Civic. ~ 33000 miles are on the Honda Civic. Many different sources of ignition could cause a fire, or potentially an explosion. The vehicle was stationary when I determined there was a leak. Car was towed back to dealer: curry Honda, chamblee, GA 30341.
Check engine light came on. An independent garage scanned the code as p2422 evap emission system vent valve stuck closed. Fuel tank does not seem to fill all the way, and sometimes a fuel oder is present. Online search mentioned there is a technical service bulletin #11-036 for this code. Took the vehicle to the dealer on 8/19/16 as part of the airbag recall. Dealer mentioned there is no recall for p2422, and there is no emissions warranty that covers this issue.
Dealer complaint: luther brookdale Honda 6800 brooklyn blvd. Brooklyn center, mn 55429 (763) 331-6800 recalls: takata air bags and following recalls listed. No incident yet! I have repeatedly checked with the dealer about the takata airbag recall and have been given one excuse after another. I have always been told they would notify me. I have never received a notice of any of the following recalls. I want these item fixed. My car is a Honda Civic 2007 but I only have 64000 miles on my car. Regarding : cng fuel tank thermal insulator - never notified exterior lighting - never notified hydraulic service brakes - never notified while checking on the status of the air bags I discovered the aforementioned items. Note: the following required information does not apply in my case. I have not had a related incident with my care. I have used todays date to get this documentation to you and hopefully resolve the issue of unresolved "recall" service.

Regarding 2003 Honda Civic ex manual trans at times without any warning the car will act as though it has no fuel and once it starts will drive fine then after stopping for example at a intersection when ready to accelerate once again the car will act as if it is going to stall in 1st but seem to get burst of fuel and propel very suddenly drive normal for a few seconds and then do same scenario of being out of gas if gas is depressed somewhat as though im attempting to race it will start to resolve and it hapeens so quick im not even ready to go to 2nd gear once I do it acts slightly the same way but not as bad maybe 25% less I then make it to third and then 4th with no problems. And also let me assure you the car is never at anything lower than 1/2 tank to full fuel wise. Along with these symptoms described twice for 3 days it has just not started again as thoug h it were empty and then im ready to have it towed after checkimg it every day and both times on the 3rd day it starts as though there was no prob with it.

This problem was not evident during the pre-purchase test drive because the vehicle did not have the gas tank full. However, upon driving the vehicle off the dealer lot post purchase, and during the entire subsequent ownership period, the vehicle exhibited relatively loud thud / knocking noise coming from the rear/fuel tank area upon stopping in urban driving conditions with gas tank full to half empty. The sound was of a sloshing liquid in a container (fuel?), evident in low speed braking and/or going over speed bumps. This is very annoying and completely ruined my ownership experience with Honda. I never experienced anything like this with similar models made by competition (Nissan sentra and mazda3) and owned by me prior to buying 2013 Honda Civic. I would not recommend and, most likely, would not purchase Honda vehicles myself.
Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Honda Civic. The contact stated while coming to a stop, the brake pedal was depressed and a slight vibration occurred. In addition, a loud sloshing sound of fuel emitted from the fuel tank. The failure recurred only when driving at low speeds or coming to a stop. The dealer was able to duplicate the problem, however they were unable to remedy the problem. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 125. Js.
You can hear fuel sloshing around in fuel tank when tank is full when stopping, going from a stop, going up or down a driveway very annoying. Has been happening since the car was brand new.
Pasenger airbag while driving, had an 11yo about 100lbs, if kid slighthly moved I would get the airbag warning. Brakes sometimes it feels like I have to completely "floor" the brakes to stop the car, even tho speed its at about 30mph fuel when tank is almost empty, the light, screen and 'ding' would go on non-stop until refueled display the milage number would start blinking randomly.
The contact owns a 2006 Honda Civic. The contact stated that there was a strong gasoline fuel odor. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 07v512000 (fuel system, other:storage:tank assembly) that could have been related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 103,000.

There is no accident, here is problem: I have 6840 miles on a 2012 Honda Civic lx 4dr. When fuel tank filled to all the way, the fuel was slapping about front to back while hit brake or parking. It makes a loud noise and fuel slam into the wall of fuel tank. I went to Honda local dealer and they tell me this is normal, you are not first one to complaint, but there is no service bulletin to it. This is unsafe, 10 gal gas flow in tank will throw off the balance while you make turns, or cause damage sensors in the tank, or cause fuel system leak even fire.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Honda Civic. The contact stated that he was able to hear a thump from the gas tank. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the technician was unable to find a failure in the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100 and the current mileage was 10,800. Sr.

You can hear the fuel moving around the gas tank and banging against the gas tank walls whenever I stop. It is most severe when the tank is full. I complained to the Honda dealer where I purchased the vehicle about the noise. The dealer let me know that the noise I was hearing was the fuel moving around in the fuel tank, due to a design change in the 2012 model which removed the fuel tank baffles. The dealer will not fix this issue on my car. I called and wrote to Honda directly complaining about this issue and requesting resolution and they have not responded.
Fuel gauge operates intermittently. Gauge may show as 'full' when empty; or indicate 'empty' when full. At times, gauge lighting is off and will not reflect either 'full' or 'empty' fuel tank. Has also indicated as containing fuel in tank, when in reality is near empty, which may cause driver to run out of fuel without sufficient warning.
I have a brand new 2010 Honda Civic GX ( natural gas vehicle) I purchased the car less than one month ago and have only driven the vehicle for the last week. I've been noticing the smell of natural gas and returned the vehicle to the Honda dealer. The dealer instructed me that the vehicle has a substantial leak coming from the pipes between the tank and exterior. Honda refuses to pay for the entire new tank and assembles and have opted to try and add new "o" rings. Honda does not seem very confident in the prescribed measures from Honda corporate and also don't seem very confident in repairing these types of vehicles. I'm very worried about the safety of these vehicles and would like to see if its an on going problem. These things can blow up if you have a leak of any kind. Thank god the car was parked out side and not in the garage by the dryer and water heater.

My family and I were recently stranded with our 1999 Honda Civic GX. It is a natural gas vehicle and would not start. After having it towed to a Honda dealer we were really worried because of the diagnosis. They said it was a short in the emergency shut off valve inside the natural gas tank. A short is caused by electricity traveling through a route that is not designed by the part and usually results in a spark. My family feels very fortunate that this did not result in a catastrophe at the natural gas station. It happened right after we filled up. We found out that the part is non-serviceable and that the service manager said there was nothing that could have been done to prevent the problem. I also found that it is an irreplaceable part and that the entire tank has to be changed which is quite expensive. We already contacted Honda directly without any resolve. My family and I wish to do all that we can to prevent this problem and possible damage or death to any other parties owning this vehicle.

I have a 2001 Honda Civic with 67,000 km and when I depressed the release button by the driver's seat to open the gas tank cover, it wouldn't open. I was unable to fill the car up with gas until I took it in to a Honda dealership where I was told this is not an uncommon problem and I would have to have the cable replaced. I am taking it in tomorrow and was told the cost will be approx $120. 00.
