In April 2021, I hit went over a large pothole that caused me to get an immediate flat tire on my driver's left front tire (the tpms system alerted me of low tire pressure). I had the tire replaced. Had no issues until 9/2021 when my tpms system alerted me that my tire pressure was low. Front left tire was at 26, had problem diagnosed at same tire repair place and they sealed my rim on driver's front left tire. Did not have any more issues until 2022 (unsure of date) but frequently my tpms system light comes on indicating low tire pressure. I always check tire pressure with gauge at home and my tires are never lower than 29 when I check (front two are supposed to be at 32 and back two are supposed to be at 33). I also live in a warm climate year round. In 2023, my tpms system alerts me of low tire pressure approximately every 2-3 months when my tires in fact do not have low tire pressure. In the month of December, every time I turn my car on, my tpms system alerts me of low tire pressure, but they are all normal. I always recalibrate the tpms system when I get that system alert, but it does not seem to help. My car currently has 30,000 miles and no accidents. I am concerned for the safety of this vehicle in regards to when I may actually have low tire pressure, but because of these frequent and unreliable tpms alerts I get, I may not recognize if it the tire were actually low while driving. I get my car inspected routinely every 6-8 months when I got my oil changed by the Honda dealership and they have not reported any issues.

This is a complaint against Honda Civic 2013 I purchased on 12/27/2013. There is no accident occurs but if this issue occur on the road, it will lead/cause a big accident to me and to any other nearby vehicle. Today (01/07/2013) and with the cold weather I practiced two safety issues. 1-check the tire pressure. I checked the tire pressure and it is ok. However, the flag and the issues is continued 2-after I drove the vehicle for 7minutes and I stopped in the islamic center to pray for almost 10minutes. I tried to drive the vehicle. The power steering was frozen. It is very stiff and I cannot turn the vehicle left or right. The vehicle kept on rolling/moving forward. I cannot control on it. I have to use the brake. When the brake did not function I have to put the vehicle into park to avoid any accident or hitting any other vehicle. I am requesting the following 1- checking the Honda Civic product all across for similar issue 2- ensure Honda review the product my phone number is [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

While driving at freeway speed in a 6 month old veichle with 5500 miles, a loud clunking noise came from rt front wheel area. Abs light illuminated. Slowed down to pull over and noise stopped shortly thereafter. Moments later tire pressure monitor lit up. Pulled over and saw tire deflated. Changed tire. Damaged tire did not have any visible damage or punctures. Air remained in tire but was reduced. Taken to dealer for inspections and they stated that the cords inside the tire were "shredded/torn". Contacting goodyear tire now for inspection and resolution but I am contending it is a defect with the tire itself and structural integrity of it. Possibly a dangerous situation to myself and other drivers around me. Unknown if other damage to vehicle until a new tire is put on tomorrow.

Our 2008 Honda Civic coupe developed a road noise in the rear tires at about 12k miles. Tires have been rotated every 5k and I have service order requests to back this up. At 15kmiles the noise had gotten unbearable. I asked my local mechanic to check and see if there was anything obvious before I took it to the Honda dealer and he noted that the rear tires appeared to have the belts slipped and that the right tire appeared worn out. I called Honda and they directed me to bridgestone who told me the tires were worn out because Honda has a chassis problem and that the tires were not warranted for wear. Honda said there is no technical issues with their suspension and they couldn't help me. So I have a car with tires that are worn out at 15k miles and I have no recourse but to eat it and hope that the next set of tires wears better. This is unsafe in my opinion. Poot tire wear can only come from so many things. I have air pressure monitoring system, so it wasn't improper inflation, the vehicle is new so it isn't suspension issues, the tires were rotated twice in first 10k miles (documented). I guess having unsafe tires on a one year old automobile is not a big deal for Honda, but it is for me. Having a 1 year old auto in the drive way that we are scared to drive out of the neighborgood isn't a good thing.
The contact owns a 2008 Honda Civic. Whenever the temperature changes outside, the tire pressure monitor system indicator illuminates constantly. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer four times and they rotated the tires and checked the pressure. The dealer informed the contact that he could have the tires changed from air to nitrogen to see if it would correct the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000 and current mileage was 10,000. Updated 03/27/09 updated 03/31/09.
Front driver's side tire will not hold tire pressure.
