The contact owns a 2008 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while driving at relatively low speeds, there was a loud, unusual noise underneath the hood. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, heard an unusual metal to metal sound and the rpms increased between 1500 and 2500. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. In addition, the contact stated that while driving 70-75 mph, the contact noticed an unusual burning smell and the vehicle began to shake. The failure mileage was approximately 24,084.
