Recently, our check engine light came on. We had the code tested and it came up with cylinder misfiring(p0300). Upon doing some digging I noticed that Honda has issued an extended warranty of 10 years 150,000 miles for 2018 Honda Fits experiencing the same code but for some reason mine's not included. I'm happy to bring it to a dealership to confirm the codes but if it is that same issue I would like to know that it will be treated like all these other 2018 Honda Fits. I've tried to get this resolution from Honda but have gotten no help.

Honda of covington , Honda corporate, louisiana secretary of state, st tammany parrish court system and trey lape (attorney for Honda of corporate has bullied / discriminated and harassed the owner of this vehicle. The owner of this vehicle reported electrical, mechanical and smells of fire emitting from this vehicle multiple times since 2018. To date, the vehicle has not been repaired. Kyle mitchell internet stalked the owner in 2023 and last Friday, April 19, 2024 in person. The owner of this vehicle drove cross country after trey lape advised the vehicle fuel pump was corrected. Mr. Tim (parts department with Honda of covington) confirmed that the fuel pump part was not ordered for my vehicle by the service department. The vehicle has been inoperable since April 2023. The owner and board members are people living with multiple disabilities. All parties have refused reasonable accommodations for the owner of this vehicle (and its board members).
Check engine light with code p219a. Honda dealer performed a cylinder a/f imbalance test and recommended that the fuel injectors be replaced. This appears to be a common problem with Honda Fits. The injectors are just as bad the recalled 30520-5r0-013 injectors. Honda claims the 2018 vehicles do not have those injectors. I beleive this vehicle has the same defective 30520-5r0-013 injectors.
The cvt transmission is going out. The dealer has conformed this. This vehicle only has 120000 miles on it and has had every transmission service that was recommended. When this goes completely it could cause an accident at freeway speeds. I believe this model year needs to be added to the cvt recall list and should be covered by Honda to 150000 since they clearly know they have an issue here.
The big recall with Honda and Acura, it lists the 2018-2019 Honda Fit as having issues with the fuel pump modular. I've had the same issues with my 2016 for a few years now. I've stalled while driving and the steering wheel locks up when that happens. When starting from a stop, it is worse. I once was taking a left turn and it happened. Luckily I wasn't going across during a busy time, I might have been hit. I've gotten my car looked at several times and no one could tell me what was wrong. I even put in a new fuel pump because all of the systems seemed to be related to the fuel pump. And that didn't change anything either. It has to be the modular but whatever it is, this is serious and I cannot believe the 2016 has not been included in the recall. I have to mash the gas a lot, it seems to kind of help in preventing stalling sometimes. But if you have someone right in front of you, and you're making a turn, thats very difficult to mash the gas to prevent a stall while turning. I know I am mentioning turning a lot, it doesn't matter if I am turning or going straight, but I feel like it's more dangerous when it happens while turning as the steering wheel locks up when the car stalls. Throwing it in neutral doesn't even unlock the steering wheel. You can't quickly fix the issue, you have to switch the ignition off and restart it to unlock the steering wheel, that's not something that can be done quick enough to avoid an accident that is about to happen right before your eyes. Please look into this. I feel like it is immoral of Honda to not include other Fit models in the recall. They must know it's not only the 2018-2019 models. There is no way that my car is the only 2016 this is happening to. I greatly appreciate any effort you are willing to put into investigating this matter.
P219ala code appears; supposed fuel injector issue after trying smaller fixes (maf sensor, air filter) with no luck. Just purchased from local dealer a few weeks ago.

I have called several times to the howdy Honda dealership where I purchased my Honda Fit . The response is the same each time that they have not released the fuel pump. I have been having issues with my car that is hesitating when I drive and takes a long time to get going up a hill or just even a flat road.
This vehicle has not been inspected by dealership, nor insurance. Suddenly all warning lamps(lkap, rdmp, cmsp, abp with the break system) went on. Im just affraid of an accident that could be caused by the failure of the systems. Lamps have been on for at least 4 months. It also had a recall for the fuel system, it was supposed to been taken care at a dealership but now the engine lamp is on as well with fuel emissions system. Yes, this vehicle is available to be inspected at any time. Im just don't feel safe driving it.

While driving the emission system problem warning came up on my dash with the check engine light. After this happened it became incredibly hard to accelerate the engine. I was driving on the freeway and attempting to merge putting my life and my families at risk because the engine was trying to accelerate but sputtering and stopping for a moment instead. It hasn’t been inspected by police, but went to dealer and got code p219a and was told this was a faulty fuel injector. This was the first time this had happened and no other warning lights came on before the emission system problem that popped up on the dash.
The odometer is completely useless, unable to tell mileage, fuel level and such. Several reports online of the same issue with Honda Fits. I could run out of gas unexpectedly, I don't know when its time to change oil.

Vtc actuator rattles at cold start. Dealer says may cause problem in the long run. Seems like manufacturing defect that Honda should fix.
At 74k miles my check engine light came on randomly. Took the car to a mechanic, who turned the light off and advised me to tighten the gas cap. A few weeks later the check engine light came back on. Auto zone said a spark plug needed replacement. About a week later the check engine light, along with many other lights came on. After a lot of research I learned that there is a recurring issue with Hondas (plural) and their fueling system due to direct injection. Leading to misdiagnosis, replacing unnecessary parts, only to be left with a check engine light. Luckily, I received a letter from Honda informing me of the warranty extension for certain Fits due to carbon buildup and misfires. I took my Fit to the dealer and shared my concerns with the service advisor. I took it to the experts in hopes that if it was a misfire with a dtc of p0300-p0304, they would surely get it right the first time. A few hours later I was informed they found dtc p0420, meaning the catalytic converted needed to be changed. Ignition coils were also faulty, therefore affecting the catalytic converter. Cc was covered under the emissions warranty but coils were not. They could not/would not replace the cc unless I agreed to replace the coils. Despite me sharing my concerns the advisor failed to mention the dtc for the coils, which turned out to be p0304. I replaced the coils and cc, paid $885. When I read the invoice and saw dtc p0304, I got upset and asked a different advisor why the carbon cleaning wasn’t performed instead of changing the coils. I was told there wasn’t enough carbon buildup to be the root of the problem and that the technician had years of experience and I could rest assured there was no other way. Fine. I take the car, less than 48 hours later, my check engine light comes on again. I take the car back. This time I am told the car is showing dtc p2198 and they recommend replacing the fuel injectors and fuel pipe! no dtc misfire, so unable to perform carbon cleanup.
This is my second submission!!!!!! please help!!!! 2018 Honda Fit saleena - 1:39 pm est submitted for the formal complaint about the harassment and discrimination related to all Honda dealerships, kyle mitchell and shakaia (rep from previous call). Case management / and supervisor is reviewing. If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA. My company vehicle has fluid leaking on the floor, the check engine light constantly coming on, the rear camera is intermittently inoperable and it smells like something has died in it (mold/mildew). Since I have owned the vehicle, I have reported these issues to Honda dealerships and they have claimed to fix the problems. I paid for an extended warranty and each time the dealership forced me to pay for repeat issues that repeatedly continued to happen. The battery died more than once right after I purchased it. The car had to be towed a few times because of the electrical battery issue. The fluid that was leaking on the floor caused my leg, lungs and mental health to suffer. I am currently under doctors care for the mechanical issues the car has caused. This is my company vehicle and it has been at Honda of covington since April 2023. American Honda has refused to help me get to the bottom of why multiple dealerships have refused to fix the vehicle.
My 2019 Honda Fit only has 61k miles. I was driving on the freeway and the fuel pump went it almost cause to get into an accident lost of power to the engine drastically slowed me down. Got a scanner to scan the problem and the fuel pump came out as the error code. I bought my car brand new. The pump shouldn't of gave out so soon.
My check engine light came on, but shut off by the time I was able to see a repair shop. I needed a smog, but they decided to check my car first to see why the light came on and went away. It had to do with the fuel injector/catalytic converter. He wanted me to drive it a bit and come back to see if it would go away. It did not, even though my lights remained off and the car was operating fine. Had I not needed the smog check, I would have canceled the appointment and not known. After doing research, it is common for fuel injectors on my car to fail due to a faulty part. Honda issued an extended warranty, but even after calling for more information, they were unhelpful. I ended up paying $3,000 to resolve this. My car is a 2015 and just hit 85k miles. Honda should be informing owners of this issue.
When the car is started, it cranks with a bit of hesitation. It then has a rough idle. After putting the car in gear and going, it will just shut off while it's in drive. I then have to place the car in neutral while it's still moving to start it again and then quickly put it into drive. It does this the first 10 minutes of driving and then it stops. Until you let it sit for awhile and then it repeats this same issue.

Before I parked, all was fine and the car felt safe, two hours later, I start the car and it has four warning lights on. Now I don't have hill start assist and the car feels like it might 'go out' on me, I think something will keep it from running soon. About two weeks prior, even with keys in the car and with a full battery in both the keys and car, the car doesn't start with the first push of the 'engine start' button (maybe there is a connection here). O'reilly helped me check the codes, and it states that I should replace the ignition coil, as well as the throttle body and it is giving the code, p0303: cylinder 3 misfire detected. After some research online, it seems like the fuel injectors might need to be replaced as the ones that come with Honda tend to malfunction. . Read more...
When starting vehicle all warning lights became illuminated. Was able to drive car, however vehicle felt rough at idle and driver felt unsafe operating vehicle. When taken to mechanic it was found the fuel injectors need to be replaced. Vehicle was purchased from dealership with this issue occurring only 8 days after purchase and is not covered by warranty.
My vehicle has been inoperable since 2023. The dealership refuses to repair the fuel pump and all other issues, per the manufacturers recall. Steve allain at Honda of covington reported to me that the vehicle would not re-start if turned off. The leadership at the dealership (kyle mitchell) and courtney gullien communicated to me that the car was operable and the fuel pump was repaired, but will not provide service records that document this information. Tim in the parts department has communicated to me multiple times that no one from the dealership has ordered any parts related to the fuel pump recall for my vehicle. The manufacturer refuses assist with this matter and send someone from corporate to inspect the vehicle after multiple requests. The check engine light provided warning, along with a loud burning smell from the vehicle. The insurance company also refused to send a representative to inspect the vehicle. The issues with the stalling of the vehicle, not starting upon turning the key, and foul smell has been an ongoing issue since purchase. The previous dealerships claimed that they repaired the vehicle. The fuel pump is the component that has been failing. The vehicle has been inoperable and at the dealership since April 2023.
Intermittent problem with gas gauge going totally blue with no display of information. No prior problems. Recently started and have not been to dealer about it. To date, has not lasted more than 20 minutes before returning to normal, with all info displayed. Without that gauge, the possibility of running out of gas on interstate or other busy road is highly likely and very dangerous. Usually happen when I start car. There is no warning.

Similar problem experienced as the TSB issued for 2015-2016 Honda Fits. Our 2018 exhibits the same issues as the years listed in the TSB below: https://static. Nhtsa. Gov/odi/tsbs/2022/mc-10208198-0001. Pdf check engine lights and stumbles/misfires deeming the car unsafe to drive. The NHTSA should encourage/mandate the entire 2015-2020 Honda Fit model run to be covered by the TSB above, since the issues/symptoms are identical in model year 2018+ cars as they are in 2015-2016. Eagerly awaiting for oyu to do something about this safety issue. Thank you!.
P0420 code on a 2017 Honda Fit. The vehicle only has 46,000 miles on it. It’s too early for me replace my catalytic converter. I know previous Fit has the same problems but Honda said it was fixed. It’s too expensive to go to the dealership to get it diagnosed properly to look for the problem. I just want this problem figured out before I spend monoey on getting it fixed the right way. Dealership hasn’t diagnosed the vehicle but wanted me to bring the car and get a new catalytic converter and new oxygen sensors. Needs to know what the main problem instead if replacing something that still currently works and no need to replace parts.
The car will randomly shut off the acc, collision warning, and lane assist. The dealership says this is due to an error with the fuel injection system and fuel injectors need replaced. There was a similar recall on the 2015-2916 Honda Fit, but was supposedly fixed on later cars. This is still the same flaw but for some reason affects these other safety systems too.
Fuel injectors failed after 40,000 miles, not covered under powertrain warranty. Honda Fits have a history of defective fuel injectors with tsbs issued years later. Car is no longer running emissions complaint. Honda denied any warranty goodwill coverage.
Engine light came on and it was brought to the dealership and I was told all fuel injectors need to be replaced and it wouldn't be under warranty. The car has 65,000 miles on which is just over warranty, but I should still not have had to replace these yet. There have been other problems with the fuel system with the fuel pump recall and they have extended the warranty on fuel injectors in other Honda vehicles, which leads me to believe this is a greater problem than just my car and it should still be covered by Honda.
All 4 of my fuel injectors were faulty even though I only had 61,000 miles on my car. All were and had to be replaced before further damage was done or before my safety was compromised further.
4 warning lights appeared 10/11/2022 (vsa, engine, eps and tpms) the next day a local mechanic found code po302. Misfire on cylinder no 2. Recommended take car to dealer for warranty work related to fuel injectors. Honda dealer found same code po302 on 10/18/22 and instructed car needs a walnut blast, $700, not covered by extended powertrain warranty. The Honda Fit is known to have problems with fuel injectors, is at risk for stalling and the repair should be covered under the warranty.
Car loses power when accelerating below 20 mph. Engine still on but when stepping on gas pedal no acceleration. Pedal is firm but no gas. Looks like iam pushing air. I have to lift my foot off and accelerate again in order to keep the car going. Veryscary and dangerous when changing lanes. Also, another issue. . . Paint comming off on a lot of locations. Cotacted the local dealer and since I was not the original owner they wont fix it. Very dispoinnted with Honda loast car to buy as Honda. Poor customer service.
My Fit was purchased in may of 2019. On October 2022, all warning lights (tpms, check engine, lane assist, etc) suddenly turned on when the vehicle was turned on. The car was taken to the same Honda dealer where it purchased and the service department determined the problem to be a cylinder misfire (p0303, cylinder #3). Since I immediately took the vehicle to be serviced, I was able to avoid a likely engine stall that other Fit owners have been experiencing. My vehicle has had all of its required and recommended maintenance performed on time at the same Honda dealer where it was purchased, including replacing the fuel pump at 15k miles and performing decarb service at 20k miles. Even though my Fit was maintained to the exact specifications Honda required, the car still had this fuel system failure which the service department was unable to explain nor were they willing to comp despite having an extended warranty (also purchased at dealer). This error code is the same problem that triggered a service bulletin on all previous model years which Honda covered but has not done so for this model year. I spoke with Honda customer service department (1-800-999-1009, option 1, 6, 5) and their warranty department but neither were willing to help because it was beyond the 3yr/36k coverage and was not covered by the extended warranty.
Vehicle is experiencing intermittent fault with air-fuel ratio of cylinder. Problems began at 50,000 miles and the dealer recommended engine cleaning due to carbon buildup. This did not solve the issues. Warranty repair was refused at that time, and has since lapsed out of warranty. This results in a malfunction indicator lamp on the dash. Car has additionally failed to start on occasion, and varies greatly in the number of cranks necessary to start. Also sometimes experience shuddering and movement of the vehicle when stopped. The reliability of the vehicle is compromised, which is a significant safety issue.
Car is four years old and has 80,000 miles. Fuel injectors became stuck in an open position flooding the engine with fuel and frying the spark plugs. All emergency indicator lights came on and one light (the tire light) was flashing. Honda dealership confirmed fuel injectors were stuck open, but instead of admitting to failure in their parts, they blamed the problem on “bad gas. ” an independent auto mechanic confirmed for me that gasoline should not be blamed on faulty fuel injectors. Unfortunately Honda charged me $2300 to replace parts that should last longer than four years.
While driving on highway, my car started to lose power. My attempts to maintain speed resulted in my car stalling and lurching forward, intermittently. I had to pull over on the side. Someone with a diagnostic tool checked and the tool read out indicated "fuel rail pressure too low" and abs indicated as abnormal.
July 21, 2022: Honda Fit would not start while away from home. It was taken to a repair shop for a few days but staff couldn't find a cause. It was able to start later on. August 1, 2022: Honda Fit quit functioning while in rush hour traffic. Breaks locked and I was unable to safely pull over. Had to drive into a hilly area while in neutral in order to stop car. In both incidents there was no prior notification from the car to indicate an issue.
