Right rear passenger window spontaneously shattered. I heard a loud pop while driving. Didn’t see any damage when I returned home a few minutes later. About an hour later when I was pulling out of my garage the window simply shattered for no apparent reason. I took car to ace auto glass for repair an they put a new window in but the regulator needs replacing an geico is taking there time about processing my claim. I don’t have paperwork on repair as it hasn’t been completed. I do have pictures of broken window.

The rear window exploded spontaneously while parked on the side of a state highway overlooking the anza borrego state park in California - no rock or reason was noted for the window's explosion. Honda refused warranty coverage; we had to pay a 1k deductible to a body repair firm. This was a safety hazard at the least.

I have owned this car for three years, it has 81,166 miles on it and is having so many problems. The engine burns through oil faster than it should and has cause permanent damage. I always took it in to the dealership for oil changes and always brought it in when the oil life was at roughly 20%. I constantly checked the oil level and it was always low even after a recent fill up but had no leakage. I now need a new engine which will cost roughly $5000 including labor maybe more. Every time I started my car for the past year it would make a rough loud sound and would usually go away once I got an oil change. My car will also take roughly 3 tries to start and will most likely need a new starter. This is the second time I have had to have the starter fixed in the past 2 years. The back up camera is also way off with depth perception and has almost caused many accidents.
The instrument cluster is failing on my vehicle which causes the digital display that shows mileage and gas levels start off blank then as the vehicle warms it starts flickering and causes visibility issues as that is very distracting and could cause seizures to those sensitive to flickering. This also prevents drivers from knowing gas levels which causes drivers to be stranded on the side of the road or have the vehicle just turn off while driving due to no gas. The vehicle is available for inspection and I have videos of the issues as does many others having the same issue. I have videos of the issue but they are not allowing me to upload maybe due to file type. The flickering can cause seizures as well as being distracting which could cause accidents. Not having any way to determine gas level or mileage also is a safety issue as there is no way to know how much fuel is in the vehicle which could cause drivers to be stranded or vehicle to quit working while driving. I have taken my vehicle in to norm reeves Honda and Honda of denton for this issue numerous times and provided them videos of the issues but they stated they couldn’t reproduce it until the extended warranty went out and now the finally are able to reproduce it and confirm it needs replaced. It has been inspected the the Honda dealerships there was no warning it just started happening out of the blue about 3 or 4 years ago. The first time it happened I went to back out and a start system error came up and the car turned off and lost all power. I almost crashed into my carport as I could not even steer. I haven’t had that happen again but the display issues continue to happen.
Moisture build up in headlamps. Honda claims that moisture buildup inside the headlight housing is normal and not something that needs to be replaced/addressed. Per Honda anytime there is a reduction of temperature outside the headlamp it will cause condensation inside the headlamp. Moisture inside the headlamp causes refraction of the light and reduces nighttime visibility. So anytime you drive at night after the temperature has dropped your visibility is reduced due to the moisture.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Fit. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v344000 (air bags) and 13v260000 (visibility) ;however, the parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
I did not realize it when I test drove this vehicle, but this car has major blind spots out the driver's window due to design. On a winding road, I can loose sight of an oncoming car based on the angle of my curve. There are also times traffic coming at the driver perpendicularly is also not visible because of the car's driver side window and front end design. This is a major safety issue with this car. If I had realized it in advance, I would not have purchased this make of Fit.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Honda Fit. The contact stated that the low beams went out on both sides of the vehicle, without any warning indicator. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 142,657. Fe.

Sorry, form disappeared, so I am just pasting: car being driven. . Hi Honda, another major issue with my brand new car, waited 3. 5 hours for them to tell me, sorry! can't make it happen again! well if I kill somone in my blind spot -- your company will be in a big lawsuit. . . So lets work on this! I dislike waiting hours, and the woman next to me still there when I left, exhausted like waiting at a airport for sorry! can't make it happen! ``` you know those side mirrors? 2015 Honda Fit top model. . Have a lock on it right so you can't lean on it as the advisor hinted at. . . . How you could lean on a button like that - is beyond me! like these service advisors --- OH! who don't know who the gov national safety commission is he told me. . . Nope, don't know them, ??? I only know Honda - regarding safety recalls that jerk! back to the issue - I had that mirror set! I looked and changed lanes !!! ahhh person in my blind spot . . . That I could not even see because the mirror was pointed to the the streeet! due to long term vibration, hence making me sit for hours? I need an explanation, for this unsafe practice. . Sickens me - but cannot let it "slide" litterally beause when ice on the road soon? that is lives in danger mine, kids, everyone. .

Daughter driving 15 miles an hour and windshield cracked. This is the third vehicle I have owned that the windshield just begins to crack or explodes on Honda vehicles. I have called an asked why this is happening to their vehicles and they can not answer. I have also had roll overs in a Honda civic and no airbags exploded, have a Honda pilot that hit a truck tire going 70 miles an hour and ripped out the whole front and side of the car and no air bag exploded. I have had three separate cars that have front, back and side windshields explode. Something is wrong with these cars, and when you contact Honda they say OH well. Well, this will be the last Honda I buy. They are dangerous cars and need to be checked out.

Driving to work early morning I had the headlights on and all the sudden it was dark, people were flashing their lights at me. I had to pull over. The high beams would come on but the low beam and fog lights wouldn't. They finally turned on after a while. They have turned off by their self a few times now. There needs to be a recall. I did the recall that was a couple years ago about headlights but I don't think that was the fix for it if its happening to others too.
Rear passenger side door leaks water every time it rains. Safety concerns are mold growth on carpeting, body rust from exposure to water, seats have also gotten wet when folded down into foot area (more mold), windows fog up because of extra humidity in the vehicle (impairing visibility), and could potentially also be causing damage to the electrical system from extra humidity. Have also found water in spare tire well in back of car, but I'm not sure where this entered the car. Asked a Honda dealer about this and they wanted to charge $200 just to diagnose the problem, which seems like a common issue judging by the amount of discussions in online forums.
The contact owns a 2013 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 25 mph, the front windshield suddenly became fractured. The contact indicated that nothing had made contact with the front windshield to cause the defect. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 12000.

I own a 2008 Honda Fit (manual transmission). Beginning last winter (January 2014), ice forms on the interior of the windows of the car (windshield, driver side and passenger side). This is very dangerous as it limits/blocks visibility. The windshield clears after running the heat, but the side windows do not. At stop signs, when it is below freezing out, I have to roll down the windows in order to see if cars are coming. I have not brought this in to the service department, but will consider doing so this winter. Shouldn't there be a recall on this problem? thank you.
Water leaks into rear hatch and pools into the spare tire compartment.
Windshield cracked on its own while parked, starting from the center of cowl and crawling up toward the roof line. Honda has a service bulletin out there that recognize this issue ( 12-006 ) for 2009-2010 Honda Fit but will only address the issue if the crack occurred while the car was still under the bumper to bumper 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty (according to Honda dealer). The crack on my car happened few days beyond the warranty period and was not covered. I consider the cracking to be a safety issue as I could feel that the cracked area was trying to bow outward and did not feel safe driving the car at any major speed. I replaced the windshield immediately out-of-pocket. If Honda recognizes that 2009-2010 Honda Fit has windshield crack issues due to misapplied molding or other defects inherent to the car and not due to impact to the windshield, then the repair should be covered regardless of when this cracked occurred.

The contact owns a 2008 Honda Fit. The contact stated that the front driver's side master power window switch would operate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they refused to repair the vehicle under the recall even though the VIN was included. The NHTSA campaign id number was 10v033000 (visibility). The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.
The sun visors are poorly designed. It works well in the forward position, but not so when turned to the side window. The visor tilts up at least 30 degrees from horizontal, when it is turned toward the side window. The result is the visor is inches too high to block the sun. The visors are useless at the side windows, creating a safety hazard for the driver, whenever the sun is on the left of the car. My wife and I are 5' 7" and 5' 10" we have not encountered any other car with this problem in our combined 80+ years of driving. The Honda dealer cannot do anything. The part works, as it was designed. I reported the matter to Honda America today.

Crack in windshield of 2009 Honda Fit; less than three months old. Parked car the night of 2/9/10 in driveway facing in. Woke to crack the next morning. Called dealer 2/10/10 told to come in but not a stress fracture. Called Honda to report, told to take to dealer for documentation. Looked on line and there are several complaints of the same. 2/11/10 reports in hand I went to dealer. Again they say impact-- the car was sitting still at night in driveway and the sky fell!! even went under a half inch space under the wiperarm and hit glass. ?? dealer called me back 2/16/10 said no complaints still impact and weather caused brake, tim stated he spoke to rep pat thomas of Honda and they wont fix it. Now what no one listening to me. Seems funny there are other complaints on line and they don't know about it please help I drive the freeways and this crack is one third my windshield now and is a safety issue.
After I'd had the car about a year, suddenly the driver's seat belt started locking up and preventing me from being able to move. This is ongoing. This happens when I lean forward only slightly. The only way to release it is to press into the back of the seat, but sometimes the belt continues to lock up every time I press back, to the point that there is no more room to release the tension on the belt. At this point I just have to take the belt off, while I'm driving. This overly-sensitive locking mechanism has become a hazard when I'm in heavy traffic and have to quickly check over my shoulder before changing lanes. I have to lean forward in order to see around the headrest, but I get trapped against the seat. Again, I have had to unfasten the belt in order to gain the mobility needed to drive properly. I brought this up to the dealer and he simply brushed it off, stating this was a safety feature. This is an improperly working safety feature, making it an unsafe feature. The date provided below is the approximate date the problem started. Another issue is that the rear view mirror is directly in my line of vision. I have to duck to look under it when I'm simply trying to see out the windscreen. This also is a hazard. Lastly, I find the windscreen frame on the left side is situated such that it perfectly blocks pedestrians who might be standing on the corner or entering an intersection. It's so wide and angled that it covers a larger area than most vehicles. The large windscreen is a nice feature, but not when it compromises side vision.
