2 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2017

"takata recall" my van has long braking response since I bought it, I've changed all rotors and pads, bled the system, and the brake is still soft, I check online, and there are a lot of people having the same problem.

3 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 07/08/2017

I was driving and all of a sudden the brakes just lost power and I had to press the brake very firmly to feel any actual braking happen. The rotors and pads were replaced about 200 miles ago and the entire brake system flushed due to previous issue of a very spongy or soft brake pedal. The vehicle's brake failure started at the end of a 50 mile commute at as I got off the freeway and approached a red light it took twice-three times the normal distance to stop going about 40 mph.

4 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2012

The brakes pedal is very spongy. You have to press quite hard to get the car to stop. Vsa modulator seal recall work has been done already and there are new brake pads on the van. I have replaced brake fluid and bleed system multiple times. This car does not inspire braking performance.

5 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2010

The contact owns 2007 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that whenever braking to a stop, the front brakes would travel all the way to the floorboard causing a substantial increase in braking distance and time. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for repairs to the brake pads but to no avail. The failure mileage was 68,000.

6 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2010

I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey. A vibration in the steering wheel when braking lightly at low speeds. Took it to the dealership and they said the rotors were warped. There has to be defect in the brakes causing the rotors to warp as the vehicle only had 28k miles and the pads had more than 50% left. I researched online and looks like several people have had similar issues.

7 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 10/05/2009

2007 Honda Odyssey brake problems. Only have 34,000 and the brakes are making the steering wheel shake. Feels like the car will not stop. Took car into dealer & was told to much mountain driving. (has not been in the mountains. ) they machined the rotors and replaced brake pads. The rotors were wrapped to do excessive heat. We were also told that this is a heavy vehicle and that is just what the brakes do. After 10 days from the repair the right front brake is already starting to make a rubbing noise. I have had a lot of cars in the past that have had mountain miles and towing miles on the car & have never had such brake problems.

8 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2009

I own a 2007 Honda Odyssey and have been having problems with my brakes for some time. They feel very soft and "spongy" when I step on them; my foot sinks all the way to the floor. There have been numerous instances where I have almost hit another vehicle because the brakes do not respond. The brakes also grind very hard and sound very loud when I come to a complete stop at the bottom of a hill. Also, when I try to stop or slow the van when traveling at high speeds (such as highway driving), my steering wheel vibrates violently. I have taken the van to the mechanic and have been told that my brake pads are fine (50% front, 60% rear), but that my rotors have worn prematurely. I also had problems with my power steering--I took the van in for service because I had a difficult time maneuvering the van in tight situations (parking)--it turns out that my power steering pump was not operating and needed to be replaced (at 36,267 miles)--267 miles over the Honda new car warranty.

9 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2009

Shuddering steering wheel and brake pulsing starting at 18k miles. Dealer says the rotors are warped, though brake pads have over 75% life left. In all our years of driving we've never had rotors needing turning or repairing in less than 40k miles. This seems like a defect to me that Honda will not take ownership for.

10 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2008

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that every twenty five thousand miles he had to replace his brakes. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the mechanic diagnosed that the brake pads and the rotors had to be rotated. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 26,000.
