We currently have around 7,000 miles on a 2007 and there has been an ongoing issue with the Odyssey's braking system. The brakes have a very soft feel and need to be depressed at least 3/4 of the way for the brakes to feel like they are biting. The brakes have always had a relatively soft feeling to them and it has caused some dicey situations where you need to attempt to swerve around another vehicle since there is a definite lack of confidence when you need to induce a panic stop. Occasionally the brakes will have a little chatter to them which you can feel in the brake pedal. We haven't pegged this directly to the load of the vehicle or hot brakes/brake pads, but we are currently in the process of getting this issue looked into with our dealer.
Brakes sometimes seem inadequate to stop the vehicle -- have rolled through stop signs or red lights when attempting to stop. Intermittent problem -- don't know when excessive pedal pressure wil be required.
The brake is way too soft.
