2008 Honda Odyssey. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle tailgate struts issues. The consumer stated the tailgate struts broke and lost their gas due to leakage. The consumer stated a recall was issued for vehicles with power tailgates. He believed even the vans without power tailgates, should be recalled.
The rear tailgate struts failed to hold the tailgate open while I was taking groceries out of the car. The door hit the back of my neck but did not cause an injury requiring medical attention.

Rear tail gate strut failure when I was unloading groceries out of the rear trunk with the rear tailgate open, the struts failed and the tailgate hit the back side of my head/neck, but did not require medical attention.
