1 High/low Beam Switch problem of the 2004 Honda Odyssey

Failure Date: 02/29/2004

The high beam has a single halogen light for both settings. When switching from low to high beam the light fails to project far ahead . This reduces extended visibility as needed for the high beam. Dealership stated that they were unable to make observations due to business hours in order to correct the problem. With a single halogen bulb, when switching from low beam to high beam, the low beam element goes out and no longer works resulting in a dark sensation ahead of the vehicle because the high beam light is further out and is too dispersed. High beams are unusable in this condition. (per telephone conversation w/ consumer on 07/02/04 ).
