While parked, I heard a pop. Later on there was a crack in the windshield around the camera. Nothing impacted the windshield this looks definitely like a stress fracture but the dealership was not helpful.

Vision is severely impaired by optical distortion in the windshield, directly in the driver's field of vision. It is also noticeable from anywhere inside or outside of the vehicle. Some areas magnify the view so it looks as though the road is coming up towards the driver. Other areas warp the view horizontally or vertically. It is unsafe because it changes the way the road and other vehicles appear to the driver. The driver feels as though they are wearing strong prescription glasses. Causes dizziness and disorientation to the driver. Visible rippling/warping of the glass of the windshield. One photo is attached showing warped letters through the windshield. (video is easier to see the other types of warping from inside the vehicle. ).
The rear view mirror popped off the base. Result is driving without rear view mirror until repaired. This is a faulty design with the mirror hex base attached to the windshield and the mirror neck having a spring clip.
Last year my Honda dealership, Honda of harvey in harvey, louisiana did the recall of the falling side view mirrors on my 2021 Honda Pilot. This is recall 23v174000. Year later my driver side view mirror is doing the same thing. It is moving around and vibrating. Making it hard to see the traffic to the side and behind me. The service dept explained to me that the glue is coming apart. I told them that was what the recall was for. They said they did the recall once and are not doing it again. So it seems the fix Honda had for this situation was not a fix but just a band aid. I did call Honda customer service and they blamed the dealership. No one wants to take the blame for this.

My Honda Pilot’s sunroof exploded and sounded like a gunshot. Today March 30 while I was driving to pick up an order at walmart around 7:50 pm. It wasn’t too windy, no cars were in front of me and suddenly I heard a big loud noise followed by wind blowing, my first thought was that I had a tire that popped but then when I checked the pressure on them and everything was fine after I got into the walmart parking lot and parked. I was able to see the big hole in my sunroof. I do not understand how my sunroof suddenly shattered like that especially when it’s not that old now going on 7 years old and which is not my first Honda Pilot. My latest one was the first model: a 2003 Honda Pilot that last me for 14 years and never had any problems whatsoever with the sunroof.

I just had my Pilot serviced for the recall and during that service I had them check the windshield water solvent system since I ran out of washer fluid on Friday [xxx]. I was driving in heavy traffic on [xxx] in michigan on my way home from work when I was trying to keep my windshield clear to see from all the salt spray from the truck in front of me when I ran out of fluid. I had to pull to the shoulder of the highway and put snow on my windshield to see again. I had the dealership (Honda of grand blanc) check to see if maybe I had a stuck float or something since I did not receive any warning of low fluid. After the tech at the dealer did a bunch of checking with Honda they found that my Pilot does not have this feature. This is also the top of the line elite trim and it can not tell me when I am low on fluid. . This is a major safety issue. Here in michigan in the winter all road commission and city transportation departments use salt to help clear the snow and ice. How is it safe to drive in those conditions when I dont know if I am low on fluid. I have been driving since 1980 and every car or truck I have driven has had a low indicator warning somewhere on the dash. If my car has to have a rear back up camera, tps etc. How can it not have low washer fluid notice. If you are wondering why I did not notice this before, I drive so many miles that at each oil change they fill it up. I did have them check it the last time it was in for oil in Nov. But they thought the float stuck. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
While driving on the highway, the panoramic roof shattered on its own with no outside or inside influence. This put the safety of myself and others at risk as the noise was similar to a weapon being fired at point-blank range. Additionally, had the panoramic roof curtain not been closed, glass would have fallen onto my children. This problem has been reported by others online, and there is a class action lawsuit against Honda for it. I'm working with my local dealership, and they're refusing to repair it under warranty. Honda corporate states that if the dealership refuses to repair it under warranty, that’s their right and they, Honda corporate, cannot help me. I have photos taken immediately after it occurred, as well as video and audio from my dash camera showing that nothing impacted the vehicle. There was no prior warning that would allude to the possibility of the panoramic roof shattering.

While driving on the interstate loud pop and can hear glass from sunroof crack.
My 2019 Honda Pilot touring was included in the stop sale/safety recall: 2018-2023 multi-model most communication error. In may 2024, schomp Honda dealership attempted to fix the recall. In September 2024 my Honda Pilot began experiencing audio and display issues. The display would cut out while driving and I would hear static through the speakers. On September 24, 2024 I took a short drive and the backup camera worked when I reversed out of my garage, but 12 mins later when trying to park, my backup camera video would not display. It stays on a black screen with "camera system failure" when in reverse, I tried parking the vehicle, turning the engine off and back on. While I waited for my service appointment at the schomp Honda dealership (the same dealership who performed the attempted recall fix) on oct 2, 2024 the video from the backup camera would intermittently display (approximately 10% of the time I would see video when in reverse). The other 90% of the time, the display shows a black, sometimes flickering green image. I believe the stop sale/safety recall: 2018-2023 multi-model most communication error was not fixed by the service technicians at schomp Honda dealership for my 2019 Honda Pilot touring. I am experiencing the exact issues with 23-047, safety recall: 2019-23 passport/pilot install fakra service cables at most bus network was supposed to fix. An improperly functioning rearview camera impairs my rearward visibility, potentially increasing the risk of a back-up collision or injury. I cannot see children or people that are shorter than my rear window.

The air conditioner system has stopped blowing cold a/c air. Honda service says its an internal failure of the compressor and the entire system needs to be replaced at the cost of $5,500. Without working a/c, the front windshield defogger does not work. This is an issue in the humid southeast. Visibility issues persist every night when attempting to drive. Honda rejected a goodwill claim for repair stating that my car at 44,000 miles is outside their 36,000 mile warranty for a/c and that we have not been with one dealership for enough service history. The car has been exclusively serviced at Honda dealerships, but we are a military family, thus unable to stay in one location for service due to military orders. Without a front windshield defog system, the car is unsafe to drive due to poor visibility.
Poor back-up camera resolution at night. Almost hit pedestrian due to poor visibility from camera.
Ripples in windshield cause distortion when viewing the road. This is only present in the passenger side on my vehicle.
The original manufacturer windshield and the adhesive holding it to the body of the vehicle was improperly installed by the manufacturer allowing water to leak into the a-pillar of the driver's side down into the lower dash and foot well. Moisture and degradation of the factory installed windshield adhesive can cause electrical faults, mold, a loose windshield, and other issues that can disable the vehicle and/or cause bodily harm. The dealer noted and advised about the possibility of the adhesive degradation before the vehicle was inspected, which confirms this is a common issue with this vehicle. Upon inspection, they advised that the windshield adhesive was the issue. The issues/symptoms presented themselves during recent and prolonged rain events at which time it was reported to the nearest authorized dealer. The local dealer claims a crack in the windshield as the cause of the problems. Unfortunately, there are no cracks in the area where the leak is originating from. The vehicle leaks from the upper driver's side corner of the windshield, with the crack noted being on the lower mid section of the windshield. Water would not run up into the corner from where the adhesive leaks.
My Honda Pilot 2025 vehicle's windshield cracked while driving on the interstate. The crack is on the driver side of the windshield, about 6 inches from the top. The crack begins as a single straight line before branching out into another curving line in the letter "l" shape. A passing vehicle kicked up rock or debris, which formed the crack. There was no collision or major impact on the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the manufacturer, but they were unable to assist me in any way because they did not have any windshields available or would be created in the near future for this vehicle. Recognizing the signs of poor-quality windshield, I believe the windshield quality was compromised to its structural integrity. I see it as very major issue in terms of the safety of the driver and passengers.

Side view mirrors started shaking few months after buying car, had them replaced under warranty. After replacement drivers side was so distorted I took it back. They replaced again, still distorted but better. Too, to dealer for service and they replaced again due to recall, mirror is so distorted again I can barely see out it. I see many complaints on forums regarding this. Honda needs to correct this with the proper glass before an accident happens.
Rear camera (74810-tg7-a41) view is distorted, shows green, red, purple among others, unable to determine any images. Back over can easily occur as view is useless. Car currently has 26,101 miles, this first started around 22,000 miles.
I purchased a 2024 Honda Pilot on [xxx]. In March, between the 4th & 22nd (approx 1800 mi) I thought I saw a crack but as my vehicle had been parked in the parking structure where I live adjacent the ports of lb & la (prone to excessive dust) & recent rain/moisture causing the dust to form into lines I figured to wait until washing before confirming. On 3/22 I confirmed a crack - no point of impact. As I had planned a vacation to mexico I opted to photograph the crack and the vehicle in mexico capturing date and location stamp. I returned on 4/16. On 4/29 I took my vehicle to el monte Honda. I let the service advisor know about the crack & upon inspection he found a 2nd crack - no point of impact. The advisor said they were scratches on the inside - 2 piece laminated. I pushed back because the visible thickness of the crack I discovered did not match the hairline feel. He convinced me that replacing the windshield could lead to other issues such as leakage - a known problem on the current generation so I asked him to note the damage - he noted a scratch. I took the vehicle but ultimately decided it wasn't fair as both were in drivers line of sight. Upon return he said the system used to communicate between the dealership and manufacturer was down and would have to come back. I called 2 months later - no return call. 9/13/24 I decide to go to local dealer (long beach Honda). The service advisor inspected and said he would call Honda but did not. Driving away I noted a smudge where the advisor located a crack - a 3rd crack, no point of impact. Called Honda & they said no record of me going to the dealer. Closed case. On 10/1 I returned to lb Honda with a record from 4/29 and images. He said possible glass delamination but only because a boeing engineer reenforced stress cracks. He did not return calls nor advise Honda. Called Honda. They refuse to do anything without a diagnosis and service advisors are running away in what appears a deliberate effort. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of inf.
Backup camera started showing rainbow colors making it difficult to use and see objects. It is always happening and not sporadic.
I noticed the windshield was distorted and wavy after purchasing my 2024 elite. Honda approved the first replacement right away. The dealership claims the replacement windshield is defect free because they are annoyed with me. The replacement windshield also has rippling and distortion that is very dangerous and is completely unacceptable. Honda is suggesting I take it to another dealer. I already tried that, but was refused service because they found out I just had it at another dealership. Dealerships don’t want to get involved with this known issue by Honda. Honda does not care about customers safety and repeatedly says they can’t do anything unless the dealership confirms there is an issue! this is absurd and downright dangerous!.
Backup camera recently began displaying a purple and green screen making the image in the backup view unable to be seen. Vehicle is garage parked or nearly always under covered parking. Taken to a Honda dealership and told camera needs to be replaced.
Every time I drive my 2024 Honda Pilot I get dizzy and a headache from the distorted windshield. This is very dangerous to drive like this everyday to my jobs.
The windshield that is installed on my vehicle distorts the view as you look through the windshield. It warps what you see looking through the windshield. I can best describe it as looking through a funhouse mirror or looking through some strange prescription glasses. It is very distracting and has caused me to nearly get in an accident. It gives me a headache with only moments of use. I don't feel safe driving the car. It is very hard to see and judge distance in front of the vehicle. I notified the dealer, and they said Honda knows about the issue. I have been waiting on the replacement windshield for 3+ weeks as the dealer said the windshields are backordered. I am stuck paying for a car that I can't drive safely.
Visors are defective on both the driver and passenger side. They are flopping down and impeding driver visibility, causing a safety hazard. According to my service advisor at the local Honda dealer, this is a known problem occurring as a result of warping plastic that holds the rod in the visor.

American Honda states they performed NHTSA recall number 23v-431 but rear view camera still does not operate correctly. They are stating that I must pay out of pocket to replace a different part to be able to have the rear view camera operational again and per the terms of the recall notice, I am to have this fixed without charge and within a reasonable amount of time. Please help!.
Nhtsa recall number 23v-431 calls for cable connectors to be changed out due to poor connections resulting in the rear view camera image to function intermittingly or not display at all. Per Honda engineering, this repair is not sufficient to fix the issue and the main head unit has to be replaced too. Please include this as a part of this safety recall because of the safety issues it is causing as it relates to driver safety and federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 111, "rear visibility".
Drivers side wiper blade stopped working in a driving rainstorm. Zero visibility. Went into on coming lane for a few seconds. Was able to get off onto shoulder. Fortunately no cars were coming and there was no collision. Problem was two nuts had come loose on the wiper arm linkage.

The transmission completely broke/ went out. Honda knows this is a recurrent issue with these vehicles. The fuel injectors had already been replaced on this vehicle at 40,000 miles before Honda was admitting a defect. They are well aware there are transmission issues for the Honda Pilot but are not taking responsibility costing car owners thousands. We were left on the side of the road, needing to use insurance to cover towing. Rather than dealing with labor we sold the car at a great loss of money. This is hear say but the towing complaint reports they are towing Honda Pilots consistently these days. Honda should be held responsible.
There was a recall for driver side mirrors. The original mirror was fine but they replaced it with a mirror that is distorted/warped. They replaced it again with another distorted mirror. All the replacement mirrors are faulty. You can not safely drive with them !.
Used tje remote to open the rear power lift gate and the rear window shattered. There was no damage to the window or any other issues prior to it happening.
Excessive vibration on driver's side mirror at highway speed, rendering mirror useless to check for adjacent cars.
My rear camera does not work in my car. I received a recall notice regarding this. It was unable to be completed because my infotainment system is completely non functional at this point. This is an on going issue that I have had with this car almost immediately after purchase. My speedometer also disappears while driving… the screen goes completely black and I have no idea how fast I’m going. It happens numerous times a week at this point.
I went to my Honda dealership today 7/15/23, and my side mirrors were on a recall, and they replaced them and my driver side mirror is all distorted. It looks like I’m looking through my contacts while wearing my glasses. It’s given me a headache. My passenger side mirror looks fine. I’ll be calling the dealership on Monday morning. This fix is awful and a real safety hazard because now I don’t want to look out of the mirror because it gives me a really bad headache.
