Honda/takata recall: we received a notice in June 2016 that our vehicle had a recall. Recall is dated 5/23/16. It has been 7 1/2 months and it still has not been remedied. Their suggestion is for no one to sit in the front passenger seat. That is not a option for our family. When are they going to fix this? I want a new vehicle if they cannot fix it soon.

I was told that the parts would be ordered and they would contact me when they were received in order to schedule the repair. On 9/2/16, I had not yet heard from them, so I called to see what the status. I spoke with technician [xxx], who informed me that the parts had not even been ordered yet. I just received an email from [xxx] confirming that they are now on order, but to have this action unnecessarily delayed is unacceptable. This is the only vehicle in which I can transport my severely disabled mother to her many doctor appointments, and the recall directly affects the seat she occupies. I would appreciate anything you could do to ensure the delivery is expedited and the service is completed as soon as possible. Thank you. The number to the dealership we contacted is [xxx]. Takata recall. Received recall notice in early July. Made appointment at livermore Honda for Aug 1 specifically referring to recall notice. Received several emails over a period of several weeks from the Honda dealer reminding me of my appointment and referring to the specific recall. Went to the appointment this morning and was told that the parts hadn't been ordered. What did they think the appointment was for? they said it would be 2 to 3 weeks before the part comes in and they would call me to set up a new appointment. It doesn't seem that the dealer is trying to remedy the defect in a reasonable period of time. It has cost me time and money to say nothing of possible danger because of ttheir inaction.

I checked with the dealer today 7/30/2016 and the dealer told me hey would have to order the parts. It will be another 4-5 months for the parts. I am continuing to drive the vehicle hoping I do not get in an crash where the airbag is deployed. Why is Honda sending out letters stating summer of 2016 for parts and the dealer is saying 4-5 months before we get the parts. No help from the dealer at all on this.

Takata recall I received a letter from Honda in March of 2016 informing me of the recall, they said the replacement parts would be available in the summer of 2016. The letter furthered stated that I would receive another letter telling me the parts were available. That never happened. I called the dealership where I purchased the vehicle on 07/29/2016, and was informed I had to tell them I wanted the part replaced, and they would order it. I spoke with dexter, he said he would order it, and it would take about six weeks. I called back on 08/29/2016 and spoke to tim maywart, he said the parts were on back order, but they should be there soon, and they would call me. How long do we have to wait to get defective parts replaced when there's a recall?.

Takata recall. I went to cambridge Honda in massachusetts on 22 July 2016 to have a duplicate key made for my 2013 Honda Ridgeline at which time I was informed of this recall. I was told that I would be contacted when the parts come in for installation. It's been 2 months and I've heard nothing, when I call them they say they are not in yet and I will be contacted when they come in. In the meantime I'm riding around in this death trap.
