Horn Assembly Problems of Honda Ridgeline

Stopping at a stop light on 10/4 & 09/27 engine shut down and wouldn't start. People behind me honking their horns for me to go. Enginewouldn't start and had gone fromdr to park. Dash said somethinglike press brake and start button. The whole time the light was green,ir wouldn't start. The 1st time it happened I thought it was the econ on but the 2ndtime it wasn't on. I have an appointment today at eskridge in okc. This is so scarry,ithought I needed to report it. I am scarred that engine and everything will shut down again.

On 8/24/20 I heard a clicking noise in my steering wheel when turning at low speeds or parking. I didn't think much of it until seeing that many Hondas have this issue. The issue seemed lined to the clock spring. I made an appointment at joe morgan Honda in monroe, OH on 8/29/20 for 8/31/20. Joe morgan Honda confirmed that the issue was the clock spring aka cable reel. The invoice is attached. Joe morgan Honda explained that if I had let the issue go longer, the noise would have gotten worse. Eventually the steering wheel buttons and horn would lose power, as well as the steering wheel air bag. This is where the major safety issue comes into play. Joe morgan Honda contacted the tech line upon confirming the issue. This has happened, and is happening on other Ridgelines. Honda is telling customers this is normal. Loss of power to the air bag would cause it not to deploy in the event of an emergency. I have video of the clicking noise prior to the repair. I have also opened a case with Honda customer service.

On Sunday January 20th I was heading to montreal from toronto during a snow storm. About 2 hrs into the trip, someone cut in front of me , and I attempted to sound the horn, however it appeared it had frozen up, and barely worked. Along with a horrible exhaust vibration during the last 3 hours of my 6 hour trip. It appears that Honda isn't ready for winter as thry claim with their crv ad at thier winter testing facitly. . . . This is a major safety issue not having a warning device during a snow storm, along with the accumulation of snow sticking under the vehicle causing a terrible exhaust noise.

Our 2017 Honda Ridgeline has had an electrical problem ever since we bought it in 2018. The engine light goes on when driving, all systems blink especially the emissions light and warnings. The horn honks until I click the unlock button and then it honks again. When we took it in to Honda service and it was not blinking and they said it had to have the blinking going off to know the problem and to bring it back. We took it somewhere else and they said the injector 2 was bad.
