After arriving home from the dealer with this brand new vehicle, my wife on the passenger side could not open the door even though I pressed unlock switch on the driver side. I shut the car off and pressed the unlock button on the key and also tried to pull up the lock manually but I couldn't get it to unlock. After several attempts it finally worked and she was able to get out. The following morning it started working okay but then today the door lock failed again and could not open the door both from inside or outside. When unlock switch is pressed, the doorlock clicks and comes up partially but then it goes down to lock position. The passenger had to come out on the driver side. I figure this malfunction could be a serious safety issue if the vehicle is involved in an accident and passenger is in immediate need of evacauation.
