Car would randomly shut off or stall while being driven; car would not start up or turn over right after the incident occurs. Happened multiple times after bringing it to the Hyundai dealership; getting the car back and saying that they can't replicate the problem while it is unsafe to drive. The cause of this incident is unknown.

Car would not start. Found information online regarding several complaints about a transmission shaft sensor and a quick fix by placing the car in neutral and back to park. Used this fix and car subsequently started.

While driving the car it loses electrical power and the vehicle stalls, which causes it to lose lights, gauges, steering, etc. The car will not restart immediately after stalling out, sometimes up to an hour. This is a very dangerous situation and has happened over 8 times now. The local Hyundai dealer said it might be the ip junction box or it might be a lose grounding wire and they will not give us a definite answer for a fix. The car continues to lose electrical and stall and is now unable to be covered under warranty due to the fact of the mileage is at 60,100. I see this as a manufacturing fault with the electrical system and Hyundai should take care of this major safety issue at no cost to the consumer.
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start without warning. The failure occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the shifter was not reading correctly and the shifter needed to replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacture was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
I stopped at a red light and the engine stopped and would not restart. . The electrical system was still working and the flashers operated, but the engine would not start. I removed the key and reinstalled it and tried to start the auto with no results. I'm setting in a major intersection with a stalled auto. I'm in a very unsafe situation and could get killed by passing auto's. This is the second time this has happened to me with this auto. The only way you can restart the auto is to use jumper cables, than everything is back to normal.

1st incident: car was parked at store. Would not start and could not move shift lever while depressing the brake. Electrical system down. Called for tow, mechanic jump-started the car. 2nd incident: since the above time, we have had to manipulate the brake pedal several times to release shifter, then firmly move shifter into park, allowing the car to recognize that the car was not in gear, then the car would start. 3rd incident: April 24th, 2013. Entered the car, heard clicking sound from the direction of the inside fuse box. Tried to start the car, no power anywhere, car would not start. Depressed the brake to repeat the shifter steps as in incident 2. The clicking stopped. The clicking only stopped when I depressed and held the brake with the ignition switch in the on position. Still no power and car would not start. As I depressed the brake, the electronic odometer display went to half-numbers. When I tried to turn on the flashers, there was a "static noise" from the dashboard. Flashers would not work. Returned the key to the lock position, depressed the brake pedal. The odometer reading flashed on and off several times, then came back fully. Had to have the car jump-started in order to get home.

The check engine light came on in my 2007 Hyundai Accent the first time was on June 4, 2007 I took my car to the Hyundai dealer they kept it over night they said when they first hooked it to the machines the car would not start so Hyundai said let the car sit over night and after diagnostic test that morning they just needed to replace the spark plugs, I received my car on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. I took my car back on Monday, July 23, 2007 for the same problem the check engine light came on, they said they hooked it up to diagnostic machines and it would not start again they were told by Hyundai to let it sit over night. On Tuesday, July 24, 2007 the car still would not start they said they were communicating with Hyundai on the problem and they have not called them back with the correct codes. I returned on Friday, July 27, 2007 they told me that the engine was safe and if I wanted I could take my car with the engine light still on. I told them I didn't want the car with the check engine light still on that they needed to fix the problem. I returned on Monday, July 30, 207 the Hyundai mangers "assured" me that the engine was safe and that they would not replace the car and to give their techs the opportunity to fix the factory "gremlins" in the 2007 Accent that Hyundai is aware of and they are suppose to basically "rebuilding" the engine to my 2007 Accent and its to" better" than when I bought it back on Feb 10, 2007. I asked if again I asked if I could replace the car they said no that their tech's could correct the problem & also a possibility that my payments would be higher if I tried to get another car from them. As of Friday, August 10, 2007 they still have not corrected the Hyundai factory "gremlins" nor have I received any information on my car.

The key will turn in the ignition , but the engine fails to turn over. Therefore, the vehicle wouldn't start. When this occurred the vehicle was towed to the dealership, where the ecm chip was replaced. The ecm chip was replaced twice, and I currently being replaced for the third time.
