The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle loss motive power and stalled, with the accelerator pedal depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

I was driving heading southbound on the avenue and the vehicle in front of me braked suddenly and had no time to brake without hitting the vehicle in front of me. I tried to brake the most I could but did not make it so slammed into vehicle in front of me. It was a very hard impact and none of the airbags in the vehicle went off, so due to the whiplash my mouth hit the steering wheel and broke my bottom lip. I had my seat belt on so noother injuries occured besides my ankle sprain from the jam of the accelerator with the center console. As soon as the crash occured the car started going into smoke so I was scared and decided to get out of the vehicle before it might blow up. I forced myself out of the vehicle and put the car in teh gear of park and no longer than two seconds later that I was out of the car, the car started to head in reverse on its own quickly! I did not even have a chance to close the door since I had just jumped out and went onto oncoming traffic and crossed the median and went across traffic onto the incoming traffic side and did not stop until it hit a wooden fence. This was the first time it had happen thatt it was on park and went reverse on its own, it was not safe at all! the vehicle was damaged all over and broke the property fence of the public park. Parts are being replaced and the car is in the body shop to be fixed.

Hyundai Genesis 4-door. Purchased 10/2010--have had fourteen incidents where when I press on accelerator, there is no reaction or acceleration. Has happened lots when I pull into intersection, press on accelerator, nothing happens, and I pray I don't get killed by oncoming traffic. Finally, the car begins to move, but next time will I be killed??? dealership had car for one week and couldn't find anything wrong. There's another complaint on the Genesis listing this same problem. Help! on incident dates and mileage questions, I just put a number--this problem has happened since I bought the car last fall.

When starting out slow, lise at a stop light, if it is necessary to lift off the accelerator briefly, the transmission seems to go into a high gear and the car just coasts with no power. By presing the accelerator hard, a jackrabbit start results when the transmission does finally shift down. This can be very scary. I have talked to other owners and this is a common problem.

I own a 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe. It has multiple problems. The transmission was replaced at 4200 miles and still experiences problems (lurching when put in gear). The paint has had to be refinished, the bluetooth radio function is intermittently broken, traction control does not work on occasion (dash illuminator light indication). I have repeatedly filed complaints with Hyundai corporate regarding the traction control issue. After filing the initial complaint and following up 4 times over the course of a month, I have yet to hear back from them. The traction control turns off, and cannot be reactivated (particularly problematic when weve had so much snow). The bluetooth radio issue stems from the radio playing while the phone is connected. I cannot hear the caller, but they can hear me and the radio. The radio should be off when the phone is engaged. Most of the time, I just cant hear the caller but they can hear me.
