The windshield could potentially cause a fatality if the car is involved in an accident. The problem has been confirmed by Hyundai but the company is only recalling the kia telluride for a defective windshield. The chip in the windshield immediately expands a crack across the driver's view which causes a visibility issue. The cracks cause a blinding reflection from the crack which makes the vehicle inoperable due to the driver's inability to see clearly due to the crack in eyeview.

Within 2,500 of purchasing the vehicle new, the windscreen has cracked and a large chip resulting in a "star". Maybe I am unlucky that there have been two in a short period of time and so close to the original purchase date. Wanted to document the issue in case there is an issue with the windscreens. I have heard (internet) of other concerns/issues with Hyundai windscreens, not sure if the Palisade is effected or not.

There are many, many complaints of these windshields shattering from very minor impacts and some for no reason at all. The fact that the windshield can break like this (not even chip) makes me concerned that an impact from a larger item (stone, retread from semi, etc) will go right thru the windshield, endangering the lives of passengers and by-standers (due to potential loss of control).

This is obviously a huge issue with many others, and this should be a recall! I paid too much money for the first rock to crack my windshield!.
