Air bag off light stay on even when a smaller adult of 120lbs is sitting in the front passenger seat. Very serious safety issue.
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. When my wife (5'4", 115lbs) sits in the front passenger seat, the airbag turns off. The vehicle does not recognize her as an adult and automatically shuts the airbag off.
Passenger air bag goes on and off when passenger is in seat. Off more than on. It occurs everytime passenger is in seat. Passenger weighs approx 115 lbs. Dealer says that air bag senor is sensitive to weight of passenger. Dealer did not fix. I believe this is a safety issue.
