The airbag light in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata- limited came on when I was in motion on a city street for no apparent reason. I had some sensor work done about 2 months ago and couldn't start the car. Now, airbag light on. I feel so unsafe and just upset that this light is illuminated while I'm driving. These sensor issues costs hundreds of dollars to fix, and its unfair that the consumer has to cover these faulty sensor issues.
I have been in contact with dealership that I bought my car from expressing about the air bag recall and my air bag light being on. I travel for work and if an accident was to occur the air bag may not work properly. Every time I call, they say that the manufacture haven't sent in the part yet to fix it. This have been going on for several months.

The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 107,778. Fe.
The air bag light stays on and won't go off. We've had it in the dealership at minimum 3 times in the past 5 years for this and they have never been able to correct it, just cleared the code. Car has not been into any accident or crash.
Air bag light on so air bags wont deploy. Engine lock up.
The vehicle was driving down a rural highway (340 stuarts draft, va) at no more than 35mph, no bumps or jarring when the air bag light came on. Received a recall notice for the air bag sensor on my car which said "if your light remains illuminated, please see your local dealership". So I took the car in today and they said there is no fix for the issue recalled. I asked them to tell me what it would cost for me to repair it and they said they have no part, good or bad to put in it. Hyundai took all of the sensors back for defects, didn't give replacements and will only "back order" a new part until one is made. My air bag light remains illuminated and will fail inspection soon. Then I'll have a car payment, full coverage insurance and a car that I can not legally drive. When I asked what I should do next, the answer was hope there was a fix before my next inspection.
My car has the air bag light on, it came on with out any reason; because of this my car is not being used.
Airbag light remains on at all times.
The airbag light in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata came on while I was driving one day. The car has not been in any accidents. The airbag light has been on for several months now and I've been told by different mechanics that this may be the result of problems in the electrical steering system. I've checked numerous blogs and found that many other people are having the exact same issue with their 2011 Hyundai Sonatas.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated while driving. The contact stated that they were driving 30 mph when the air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was not towed. The contact has an appointment tomorrow carlsbad county Hyundai 5285 car county dr, carlsbad, CA 92008 where it will be diagnosed. The contact will notify the manufacturer when this phone call is finalized. The failure mileage was 128900.
The air bag light came illuminated on the instrument cluster, and I wasn't in an accident.
Air bag light came on about 2 weeks ago. I looked up my car to see if there was a recall for it and there is but there was no remedy listed. Checked back again today 5/8/2018 and there still isnt a solution. How long is this supposed to take?? this is my only means of transportation and I have 2 young boys. I dont feel comfortable driving but right now I have no chioce.
Drivers side airbag light stays on.
I was recently rear-ended. The vehicle was stopped at a stop light when someone ran into me. The airbag light for driver and passenger side turned on after the accident. Hyundai dealership said that the airbag sensor needed to be reset but it was not due to the accident because the air bags are not designed to deploy if you are hit from behind. They said it sometimes just fails on its own. This cannot be, it is either defective or it was caused by the accident. There were no issues before the accident. The accident occurred in April in lakewood, CO. Case report number 18-100159 with lakewood pd.
Airbag light came on and I was not in a accident or I did not hit anything I took it to the deal they said it was the clock spring got that replaced and light is still on we have trid everything I also see alot of other people with the same car have the same problem is there a recall for this cause there should be if everuone is having the same problem.
Feb 27,2018 manufacturer recall number174 NHTSA recall number18v137000 recall statusrecall incomplete my vehicle is listed as part of this recall. My airbag light is also on. I visited hudson Hyundai for other recalls and mentioned the airbag light and the associated recall. They refused to look at the vehicle for the recall even though my car is listed and said, I would have to pay them $130 for diagnostics. The issue still exists.
Air bag light stays on , car was never hit.
Airbag light illuminated, dealership says sensor needs replacing which requires replacement of front passenger seat track assembly. Sensor is part of assembly and can't be replaced separately. Cost with tax will be $975. Another code came up along with this one. One on steering column was covered by Hyundai so can't understand why this one shouldn't be as well. Seems asinine to have sensor integrated into seat track and not replaceable on its own.
Airbag light is remaining on, despite not being in an accident.
My 2011 Hyundai Sonata had the air bag light come on. It was diagnosed as a bad sensor in the passenger seat. To buy this sensor you have to buy an entire seat track assembly at a cost of $1259. 00 plus labor to install it. After looking this up on the internet, I see many Hyundai vehicles have had this issue. This should be covered in a recall as it is a safety issue and been a problem with many vehicles.
Vehicle airbag light went on and stays on when starting car on 12/09/2017. Passenger airbag indicator blinks. Vehicle has never been involved in a crash. There was nothing done to the car that should have caused an issue with the airbags or any sensors.
The airbag light has been on for over a year and there has never been a deployment of the airbags. It remains on and never goes out.
Brought car in to empire Hyundai for air bag light and my recall paper. They told me that it was going to cost me $115 to check it out if it's not the clock spring. The recall paper says, I will not be charged regardless of the cause.
While driving my car on Saturday I came to a stop and then notice after hitting my brakes my airbag light came on. This can be scary that I don't know if my airbags are going to come out anytime while I'm driving or hitting my brakes for no reason.
Air bags light turned on all of a sudden and stayed on. Never had any accident.
My airbag light came on with no reason. I did not hit my car, nor got into any accident at all. I took to dealership who charged me $165. 00 for diagnostics and advised that my front passenger seat airbag module / sensor is bad and will cost $980. 00 if I wanted to get it fixed. I have received recall notice from tk holding that states my car is part of the airbag fix / recall but dealer refuses to fix without almost thousand dollar.
Airbag light is on, Hyundai dealer inspected and said replacement was required at a cost to me of appt $ 1,200. 00.
Takata recall. I recently received mail regarding possible recall of the airbag on my driver's side. I checked the site and it stated there are no active recalls for my vehicle hiwever, I have noticed for a couple weeks that the airbag light on my dashboard has been on. How do I handle this?.
Airbag light stays on while driving. Intermittently goes off and comes back on. No accidents to vehicle. No abuse to vehicle. Car was driven several times the day it started staying on. Worked fine until the last time it was driven that day. Car was parked in my carport. Drove out of driveway and light was on. Stopped at a drive thru. Light went off but came right back on. Remained on for remainder of drive down highway.
Not sure if my car has the "takata recall" but it should due to the fact my airbag light came one day I get in my car to start my day and its been on every since.
My fuel sending unit has failed. My "miles to empty" meter is never accurate or steady. It's always moving sporadically. I have to constantly keep my tank fill in fear of not knowing how much gas is actually in my car. Also, my airbag light is on. It just randomly came on when I was driving. I'm not sure if this has anything to do my seat belt or a faulty sensor. Both of these issues both happen when the vehicle is or isn't in motion.
Airbag light comes on randomly and will go off and come back on again randomly, worried that airbag will randomly deploy.
