Rusnak Hyundai inland empire has not been helpful in resolving these issues. I am being asked to pay to diagnose the issues that were not present prior to the software updates.

During normal driving with headlight setting on auto, headlights turn off when turn signal is activated. Headlights turn on when turn signal is off (either manually turned off or when turn is completed). This can happen while moving or stopped at light. Consistent problem with left turn, less often for right turn.

Lights go on & off when using turn signals or dimming lights. After about 30 days lights quit working all together. If I pull turn signal toward driver and hold it lights come on anbut once it is let go all lights are out again.
At night while driving if you use the turn signals all lights go off inside and out. We have taken the car to the dealer and they could not duplicate the issue while there. This is a hazard and can cause a collison at night. This should be addressed by Hyundai. There seems to be too many electrical problems with these cars and it shuld be looked into.

My wiring harness on both the front and back headlights and taillights keeps burning. I have replaced the driver headlight, and all bulbs all around the car. Ive even changed out the connector on the bulb of the headlights and no matter what I do the wire on the wiring harness keeps burning and when I use the turn signal sometimes all the lighting in my car blinks.
This is the second time the left rear lamp has failed showing signs of burning. The lamp assembly was replaced by the dealership approximately 2 years ago. When the turn signal failed recently I went to change the bulb and discovered that's a socket showed signs of being burnt again.
Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the low beam head lamps turned off. The contact jiggle the turn signal leveler and they came back. The contact also stated that the failure occurred for approximately a month and a half. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 49,000. Bp.
At night, when the headlights are set to the auto function, many times the headlights will go completely out for several seconds when using the turn signal. Our local dealership has told my wife they have had many complaints for the same issue. This issue also seems to be reported online frequently. This happens while the vehicle is moving going around turns. The headlights and turn signals are on the same stalk on the steering column. This is a safety hazard and I fear for my wife when she's driving the car late night on the way home from work.
The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, the turn signals were flashing and operated opposite of the direction in which the contact attempted to signal. The turn signal on occasions also operated independently. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 58,000.
Driving down highway turned high beams light on and lights completely shut off\ turned off an also happens when I use turn signals or changing the light settings for any indication on either high or low settings . Very frightening when not knowing what would happen especially in traffic. Has happened numerous times.
Headlights go out when using the turn signal at night time.
I have been driving this car for a little over a year and in the past month it had happened a few times when driving at night the headlights have went off while driving first it happened when using the turn signals and then it done it while driving without using a turn signal I was on a city street every time it has happened I am just a little over 60,000 miles ,feeling a little uncomfortable driving it at night.

While driving on the street and highway. The headlights flicker, and the radio/clock lights flicker on and off when the turn signals are used. It seems like mostly on right turns. I noticed a similar compiant when reading the complaints for the same exact car. I had my car in for an unrelated issued and I mentioned it to the service center. I found out about another recall that I did not know about. Why are there so many recall. .
While driving at night, the headlights, as well as interior dash and radio lights, would flicker. Most of the time this is triggered by using the turn signal. At times the lights may turn off altogether and have to be turned back on by jostling the turn signal. This happens while the car is in motion.
Since I bought this car in oct 2014 I've had problems with the lights. I can be driving and they cut off. I can turn on my turn signal and the lights go out. Or I'll be driving and the inside lights come on by themselves. When I drive my steering wheel shakes.
In the last few weeks my vehicle has started to have electrical issues related to the steering column. If I turn on my right turn signal, the headlights blink or just turn off. The radio will sometimes turn off as well. If I press any of the volume buttons on the steering wheel for the radio, the car thinks I'm trying to initiate voice commands to call someone. If I try to turn on my high beams, sometimes it works, other times the headlights turn off. All of these things happen whether the vehicle is stationary or moving on any type of road. The vehicle is designed so that if you leave the headlights on, remove the keys, and lock the vehicle, the headlights turn off. It still does this, but the lights will turn on again later and try to kill the battery.
While driving in the dark, head lights turn off sporadically. At the same time, interior dash lights brighten as though day-time mode is initiated. Usually happens when turn signal is being engaged/disengaged, however it also happens randomly on its own. Can be disorienting to driver. May be construed by other motorists as a nuisance or threat.
When the headlights are on at night, when turn signals are engaged intermittenly the cabin lighting, including the gage cluster lights flicker and sometimes completely turn off. When the auto function of the headlights is on the headlights often completely turn off along with the interior cabin lights and gauge cluster lights intermittently when the turn signals are engaged and also when they're not. The problem seems to mostly be linked to the use of turn signals, but does also happen when they're not used.
While driving, headlights turn off at times while using turn signal. They will also turn off if I run over a bump.
I have had to replace all of the exterior lights multiple times due to sporadic blinking, dimness or total outage. This includes all headlights, taillights and turn signals. This is quite terrifying while traveling at night. This has occurred in front headlights the most. I've changed these many times and was even warned by police in one instance. The local Hyundai dealership wants $175 just to look at it. I have spoken to other Sonata owners, and read about many more, who have similar issues. This is dangerous and something needs to be done.
When driving at night with the lights on, when I turn the turn signal on, the headlights turn off, come back on, and flicker on and off, as well as the interior lights. This is an ongoing issue not something has happened just once. It's extremely dangerous as they may just go out completely and somebody could crash into the front of me or not see that I'm trying to turn there's also been numerous reports of this on blogs and such forth.
When the headlights are in use, the car randomly loses power, headlights turn off, entire car just shuts down without warning, then after several seconds, powers back on. The lights, engine, everything turns off. Also, when headlights are in use, cruise control and stability do not work. The vehicle is in motion and this has happened on highways and city streets. I have taken my vehicle to the two nearest dealers and they refused to fix the vehicle. Generally, this happens when braking, using turn signals, changing to hi beam/low beam, but has also happened for no reason at all.
At night time when my headlights are on they will flick on and off when I use my turn signals, when I turn on my brights and sometimes when I move between park and drive/reverse. Sometimes it'll do it a lot and other times not so much. It is a 2011 with 114,000 miles and only started in the last few months. I wonder if this is what's causing my battery to die quicker? since I've replaced it twice in the last 4 years I've had it.
The contact owned a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. While the vehicle was idling at a traffic light, the driver side turn signal exploded. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the vehicle was deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the incident. The failure mileage was 150,000.

When driving 45 minutes to a hour the engine heat pours inside of car from leg area up like the windows are down in a 85 degree temperature outside. While using turn signals most of the time after signaling for a left turn to change lanes I manually turn off signal it continues to right back to left until trying to turn it off at least 5x's. During driving the car accelerates on its own if I am not accelerating ina 35 mphil area.
As I was driving, I slowed down used my turn signal and as I made the turn and completed it the interior light and head lights shut off or begin to flicker. You have to jiggle the end of the stem to get the lights to turn back on. I changed the setting from auto to just the headlights and the same thing happened again. It mostly occurs with the left turns, but can occur with the right turn signal. I occurred once when I first purchased the car in 2014 but then did not become a problem until now. It is very dangerous to be driving down the road at night and lose your headlights. Also it causes the headlights to flicker at other drivers and they may think that I am having other issues. I also have a 16 year old daughter who is driving my car and it concerns me that this had happened when she is driving and may not be able to know what to do to fix the situation.
2006 Sonata now has an intermittent electrical problem. These problems manefest themselves usually when the gas is not being applied, but not necessarily when the brakes are being applied. The headlights will go off and then come back on; the radio sometimes will go off and then come back on; the a/c fan sometimes sounds as if it has turned off and then comes back on; several times I noticed the esc light and abs light come on when the radio and lights and ac turned off and then came back on. At times these outages will occur when the turn signal is used. All these happenings have been reported to the Hyundai service department but they say they can't get it to repeat the symptoms or find a problem.
