Front Air Bag Problems of Hyundai Tiburon

My car was parked, I get into the car as normally and when I started the car. . . . . . . . . Boom the airbag deployed with no reason, I never hit anything, the car never moved,in less than a second there was an explosion, a big explosion, m car was filled with smoke. I was scared what if that could occur while I was driving, im 100% that this should be investigated and be a recall of this. My insurance wont cover and they probably will raise my coverage, I had bruises in my hand and forehead due to the impact. A repair shop will cost me more than 1,000 dollars which I don't have. And now im scared to drive my own car, and I need it to get to my job and I can't.

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon. While approaching a stop sign at 7 mph, the front driver's side of the vehicle was struck. The vehicle spun around and struck the vehicle that was at fault. None of the air bags deployed in the contact's vehicle. The driver sustained injuries to her back and neck, and the passenger sustained injuries to her knees. On Monday the 14th I accidentally rear ended a van while going about 60 mph. . . He was almost stopped for a sudden turn off the highway. . . My car is totaled. . . Though driving alone, my passenger airbag went off, but by drivers side didn't. . . My body is in lots of pain, and my insides hurt alot. . . I did lose conscience for a small time. . . . I was a passenger in my Tiburon and my wife was driving. We were traveling on oklahoma highway 59 and speed limit was 65 mph. A frontal collision with the rear of an extremely large farm tractor at a speed estimated by the investigating state policeman at 25-30 mph. We were both wearing our seatbelts,however I made contact with the windshield and the dash of the car. Neither the driver nor the front passenger airbags deployed. The damage is estimated at 10,500. 00, with extensive front end damage fender, hood ,windshield damage, battery , horn, brake components, front suspension grille, front bumper, headlamps, radiator,a/c and heater. We were both injured and were seen at our local er. All this and no air bag deployment needs to be investigated.

Consumer's daughter was driving at 30 mph when the air bags deployed. It scared the driver, and she made a quick right turn. The vehicle hit the curb, and broke the rim on the passenger's side.

Consumer complained about electrical problems which included the power windows, and the driver seat belt buckle wiring. Consumer received a recall notice on this matter, however, dealer refused to accommodate the consumer. The air bad failed during a crash and the sun roof malfunctioned.

Consumer called complaining while driving the vehicle at 15mph had an front collision, and neither the air bag deploy. Dealer has been notified. Please provide further information. Ts.

On August 25f 2002 my fiance' was driving my 2001 Hyundai Tiburon which I had purchased new in February of 2002. He was cut off by a person driving a chevy blazer. The entire front end of the Tiburon struck the truck in the rear passenger's side door. My fiance' was driving approximatly 30-35 miles an hour at impact. The Tiburon incurred just under $6000 in damages including replacing the transmission because the force of the impact cracked the transmission case. I am filing this complaint because even though there was a significant impact, the airbags in the Tiburon never inflated. The impact was strong enough that my fiance sustained injury to his forehead and chest when they struck the steering wheel and the windshield. I feel that his injuries would have been prevented by the airbag deploying. I contacted Hyundai asking them to do an investigation and was refused twice.

While traveling at 65 mph front left tire went off the road, and consumer lost control, resulting in a frontal collision with a guardrail. Upon impact, none of the airbags deployed. Dealer has been contacted. . Lkhjg25fxyu204846.

While traveling at 25 mph, another vehicle crossed in front of driver's path at 40 mph, hitting driver on the driver's side door, causing vehicle to lose control. It went into a spin and jumped a curb, consumer was concerned that none of the airbags deployed.

I was stopped in the passing lane at a construction site on route 95 in ri. The vehicle in back of me failed to stop and crashed into the rear of my vehicle. The reclining mechanism on the driver's seat failed which resulted in me being thrown into the back seat causing a back injury. The impact from behind caused my vehicle to crash into the vehicle in front of me, neither airbag went off. My vehicle had extensive damage to both front and rear, the vehicle was a total loss. Do you have any information on reclining seats failing due to rear impact? I would appreciate any information that you could provide.

I was driving in a parking lot that I drive in daily. I was making a routine turn, and when I began to slow down from 30mph I got to about 20mph and then the brakes locked up as well as the steering wheel. I did not slam on the brakes so they should not have locked. After the car went up on a curb, several seconds later the airbags deployed. They did not depoly on impact. . When I bought the car I was told I had anti lock brakes and now I am told I don't have them and that in itself is a problem with the dealership. The breaks locked up once before and I brought it to Hyundai, I did not have an accident just a scare, and they basically told me it was in my head. The car is unsafe and I am scared of the breaks getting me into a more serious accident. The 4,376 was all from the one accident with the brakes and the airbags.

He was traveling about 35mph on boulevard and it was raining. Vehicle in front of him jammed the brakes. He started hydroplaning, and vehicle wouldn't stop. Dual air bags didn't deploy at all.
