This happened last month as well. Drivers side rear door will not open while it is parked and on, it locks and unlocks but will not open from the inside or outside while it's unlocked. Last time it fixed after pulling on it approximately 25 times total. I have tried manually and automatically locking and unlocking and trying to open but nothing works. This time is is not working and becomes a safety hazard especially with children.
Drivers side passenger door will not open when unlocked electronically or manually.
Rear driver's side door will not unlock or open manually. This is a huge safety risk.
I parked the car 6/12/19 wed that evening and everything seemed ok. At 1030am the next day, 6/13/19, I tried to use electric key to unlock to go to work and realized it wouldn't unlock so I noticed black soot above driver window and tried manual key to unlock. I could barely crack to see the seat exploded on drivers side. Called 911 and firemen and politics arrived. The fireman completely opened the door and after examine said the heated seat device had exploded or malfunction and the back of seat was blown in a reclined to the back seat position and all windows completely covered in soot, and a very strong electrical fire smelll was observed. Below are photos of car which was parked and it happened during the night.

My 2017 Tucson feels as though it will stall during slow speeds, such as in a drive way, or in stop and go traffic. It stutters as though it is a manual clutch transmission with an inexperienced driver. In addition, when taking off from a stop sign, the car often does not respond appropriately to acceleration and will not move even when the engine revs at a higher rpm. I have had many close calls when turning right onto a busy street and my car does not respond creating a hazard as I roll slowly into oncoming traffic. I have taken it to the dealer several times and have been told that they cannot recreate the complaint during a test drive and that the stuttering is due to the dual clutch transmission and that is is supposed to perform this way. The last time I took it in (July 2019), I was told that they did a software update, but this did not improve the problem and it seems to be getting worse. This vehicle is only two years old, but I am concerned about my safety and the safety of my family, so am planning to trade it in to Hyundai and purchase another vehicle that does not have the dual clutch transmission.

Recently, we've been experiencing an issue involving the rear door locking system on our daughter's 2016 Tucson. The doors can't be opened, despite the child locks being disabled, the auto and manual locks being unlocked, or the manual handles being used from inside or out. The is a most unsafe situation, especially in the event of an emergency. We have scheduled a maintenance appointment with our local dealer (tameron Hyundai, hoover) at our expense.
2016 Tucson limited with 1. 6 turbo engine. I have had recent problems with the car bogs down or seem to cut of when I accelerate from a stop or very low speed. This has happened when I am trying to merge in traffic from an off ramp, pulling out of a parking lot and trying to get in another lane in traffic from a stop. As soon as I pressed the accelerator the car would stop as if the engine ha cut off. I have to try to manually downshift to1st gear or switch to a sport mode for the car to respond. In heavy traffic trying to merge from an off ramp or change lanes or even leaving parking lots to merge on highway. This has occurred quite frequently and I have some very narrow mishaps with cars slamming on their brakes to avoid running in to me. I am a very experienced driver who has driving professionally for over thirty years including tractor trailers with many safety awards. It is only because of my experience that a serious accident has been avoided so far. Each time this has happened I reported it to the dealer service department and asked if there were any recalls or service notices and have had no recourse this seems to be getting worse over the nearly two years I have the car. I am afraid to let my wife drive the car for fear that she might be involved in a serious or worse accident. The dealer has only told me not to drive in eco mode any more, I have done every thing they ask including using premium gas, more service driving in different modes. I have driven many different types of vehicles, cars and trucks and have never had this problem with a new vehicle and the service tech has no idea what to do.
The engine hesitates, jumps, almost stalls or revs like a manual transmission when you are starting from a stopping position or at lower speeds (less than 45 mph). There have been very scary situations where pulling out from a stop signs with adequate time with any other car except for this vehicle because you don't know if that's going to be the time it hesitates or won't accelerate when you press on the gas. This c.
On 4 separate occasions my car would not accelerate from a stop. The first time it was after driving the vehicle for over 20 miles (so warmed up), stopped at traffic light, took my foot off the break and tried to accelerate, and the car would not engage, I was in eco mode at the time, I shifted it to manual and apply the gas nothing, shifted to sport still nothing, finally turned off car waited, turned car back on (while traffic piling up) and finally slowly started to move. I had a scheduled appointment with my dealership (as I had less than 5000 miles on it), and told them the problem, they said never heard that before (which I come to find was not a true statement). They said unless they can replicate it or the engine triggers the alarm nothing they can do. Car continued to act up, last time was after remote starting it and tried to leave the parking lot, would not engage. Called the dealership again and they advised still never heard of this being an issue, and unless it triggers a warning nothing they can do. Upon communication with other owners who are experiencing the same issue, I called the national office to log complaint, they told me to take my car in, as this is known issue and hopefully will be able to fix it, that was 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. I turned it in because it is a safety issue not knowing when the car will not engage when pressing on the gas. Concerned for my safety and my passengers safety.
I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson limited which has a major issue with the lack of acceleration from stop. When trying to move onto a highway/road from a light or stop sign when you step on the gas nothing happens then all of a sudden it lurches ahead. This is a very unsafe situation. When you step on the gas you expect the vehicle to respond and it does not. Also going through a parking lot and not really accelerating at all it lurches and backs off and lurches and backs off. Then when you do step on the gas it almost quits then lurches. I'm told its caused by the manual celinoid which causes the automatic transmission to engage. At the present time I'm not driving the vehicle and have a loaner. Hyundai has sent me paperwork to buy back the vehicle but then I have nothing with which to purchase another vehicle.
