The contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz. While driving 25 mph, the engine stalled and the battery warning indicator illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The contact turned off, restarted the engine, and the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The contact experienced the same failure eleven months ago. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. Hyundai announced the following recall in November 2020. To date they have done nothing to remedy the problem. My vehicle had this problem and failed while driving on the freeway in 2016. I repaired the problem back then at my expense but my vehicle should be assessed by Hyundai and cleared or additional repairs made. I am waiting over 6 months for a remedy on a recall that was originally announced in 2014 and reissued in 2020 because of Hyundai's failure to adequately address the problem.
