The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. While driving 5 mph, the engine stalled while preparing to turn the vehicle right or left. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed a crank position sensor failure. The mechanic stated that there was a recall with the known failure and referred him to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified that the contact was experiencing the same failure as listed in NHTSA campaign number: 03v455000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the manufacturer referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 133,691.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the camshaft sensor failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.
