The third brake light on the rear window deck fails to work intermittently creating a situation where vehicles following may not realize that our vehicle is braking. This creates a concern for my safety as well as my childrens safety. This is a very frequent problem with Infiniti vehicles of this make but Infiniti will not acknowledge the problem.
Third brake light isn't working 100%, it only turns on the first few minutes I use my brake pedal. After awhile, when the brake pedal is used, the 3rd brake light no longer turns on. This has always happened ever since I've received the car and I have never seen it operating as a safe car would have it operating. Many of my other fellow Infiniti G35 owners have this problem also. We would like Infiniti to put out a recall and have it fixed to increase the automobile operators safety, and to also abide by the law with an operating 3rd brake light.

I lose complete control of my climate control which results in my a/c being stuck on. My radio controls are also gone. The whole center dash is in complete electrical failure. This is a hazard due to windows fogging up while driving. Also I've researched that there are recalls only for sedans, I don't understand this because the same parts are in the coupes.
The contact owns a 2003 infinity G35. The contact was driving 25 mph when the defroster, air conditioner and radio failed intermittently. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer but the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 117,000 and the current mileage was 127,000. Updated 01/06/12 the consumer stated from the time is started happening, it was intermittent, until March when it went out all together. It is now stuck on a constant 74 degrees and nothing else on the center panel works. Updated 01/06/12.

Electrical control panel: heat/ defrost/ radio and cd/tape. Intermittent operation was reported to Infiniti dealer in 2008. At the present time (oct. 2010), the control panel is totally inoperable as of the beginning of October 2010. There is no way of controlling the ac/defrost/temperature. The audio/ climate system was inspected and confirmed that the circuitry has internal failure. This has posed a hazard since there is no way of controlling the defrost and fan to unfog the windows. There was a voluntary recall in 2004, however I had not been notified. Several similar complaints have been blogged. Dealer will replace unit for approximately $550. 00 at owner's cost. However, it appears that it is a defect by the manufacturer.
2003 G35 sedan central console a/c, selected lights, and audio controls stopped working suddenly. Cannot control heat/defrost/air conditioning. Caused windows to fog up quickly impairing visual field while driving on highway. This is very hazardous because of its unexpected and unpredictable onset.
Per G35 sedan recall my '. . . Audio and temperature controls may, on occasion, not operate as expected. . . . ". My equipment failed multiple times. There is a voluntary recall for this problem on the G35 sedan but not the G35 coupe. The mfg'r. States that coupe is not covered even though I have the same problem. My G35 has/had the identical problem and they replaced my circuit board at a cost of $649. 88 (parts and labor). I believe the G35 coupe should have same recall as the G35 sedan.
I have a 2003 infinity G35 coupe my radio does not work and have lost all control of my heat and air conditioning I believe this is a really big problem do to the fact that I cannot defrost my windows when they fog up.
The contact owns a 2003 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the defroger system was inoperable. The dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle in for service. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. No repairs were performed. The current mileage was 153,000 and the approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
While driving my 2003 Infiniti G35 in the highway the radio made a click and remained silent followed by the ac automatically coming on at full power. The dash controls can no longer be accessed . At the time it is bothersome but in certain situations the car is at danger. If this was winter everything would have fogged up and wouldn't have been able to use the defroster . I have researched this problem and there other owners with the same problem . This problem is electrical and is very dangerous when taking it into context. There was a voluntary service campaign for the audio finisher circuit board but it only included 23600 cars. Infiniti should be responsible for this and cover the cost.
Air conditioning unit comes on randomly and would not shut off. At the same time, the radio became inoperable. Initially this problem would happen just a couple of times per week, but now it's a permanent issue. Infiniti recognizes that a problem exists, but will not recall because they claim that it's not a safety issue. This is a huge safety issue because I cannot control the front or rear defrost.
Driver side sun visor falls out of mount creating hazard.
Intermittent heater, defroster, ac, audio failure. This is a safety issue with regard to the inability to defrost / DE-ice the wind shield. There are numerous complaints from other owners on this site and others. No response or support from infinity.
1) called the dealership and was told there is a technical bulletin on how to fix the problem but it wasn't a recall and will cost approx. $800 due to a malfunctioning of a circuit board. 2) the climate control and radio are inoperable about every other time we start the car. I read current recalls for this exact problem for the sedan and not the coupe. I just don't understand that. I know there are other's with the same issue. Hope this become a recall soon.
I presently own a 2003 infinit G35. The entire climate control functions and dash lights do not function because of a problem with the radio. A recall was initiated for the "audio finisher circuit board" by Infiniti but the problem still exists. These items will suddenly stop working while driving the vehicle. This happened to me while driving. These items do not function at present. An Infiniti dealer infomred of the recall and also infomred me that my vehicle had already had the circuit board replaced and that the only other problem that would cause this would be the radio. I was also infomred that this is a common problem with this model Infiniti and Infiniti will not take responsibilty for this problem or the repairs. Repairs cost from $600 to $1250. That price quote was stated to by Infiniti. Just a note, all equipment I am referrring to is factory installed. No aftermarket equipment has been installed.
