2 Car Stall problem of the 2009 Infiniti G37

Failure Date: 03/23/2016

Without warning rpm's drop to about 2,000 and vehicle will not go over 30 mph and just stalls with no option to break. Turning the car off for 30 seconds seems to reset the issue, but this very dangerous because it happens randomly. There is a TSB on this, but it should be recalled! it has happened several times and it¿s very scary and could result in a fata crash on the highway.

3 Car Stall problem of the 2009 Infiniti G37

Failure Date: 03/10/2014

I was driving on the highway and my car suddenly vibrate really heavy and then the car suddenly started to rapid decelerate no dash board warning light. The car would not accelerate and I have to quickly try to pull off the side of the raod. The car never stall. I have shut the car off and retstart it and it seems fine again and may not occur for awhile. I took it to the dealer as this is the third time it happen to me on the highway.

4 Car Stall problem of the 2009 Infiniti G37

Failure Date: 12/07/2013

My 2009 Infiniti G37x lost power without warning on 3 separate occasions. The first two times the problem occurred in Jan 2013 (car was still under 60k miles warranty). I was driving on the highway on a cold night and my car stalled at around 55/65 mph mark. The car was shaking when I tried to accelerate. When I pulled over to the emergency lane, my car had lost complete power. Then, I restarted the car and the engine acted and sounded normal. I warmed up the car for 5 minutes before I drove home. I went to Infiniti to get the problem fixed and I reported the problem to Infiniti of north America. Infiniti could not identify or re-create the problem. On Dec 7, 2013, I noticed my car acted like it was losing power when I accelerated the car to 65 mph while I was on the highway on a cold rainy night. I tried to accelerate and the car felt very choppy and shaky as if it was choking on something. Since this problem had occurred two times before, I decided not to continue to increase acceleration to the car any further. I pulled over to the emergency lane, parked the car, and I video recorded the problem. There was no lighting indication of any problem on dashboard. While the car was parked and the engine was running, I tried to rev up the engine. The car was shaking intensively when it was rev up to 2,000 rpm. I also restart the car and I tried to rev up the engine again and the car did not shake. After restarting, the car engine acted and sounded normal. I was able to drive the car home safely. There is a safety issue with this model. I've reported this problem to Infiniti, but they denied there is any problem. Infiniti needs to issue a recall on this model. I am scared to drive this car, but I need the car to get around. If anyone can help push forward this issue to the right level of attention, please contact me at [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

5 Car Stall problem of the 2008 Infiniti G37

Failure Date: 11/16/2012

I was driving down the road and noticed the clutch wasn't "feeling normal. " as I shifted into 3rd gear, the clutch pedal stuck to the floor and wouldn't spring back. I tried pumping on it, then managed to get my foot underneath it to pull it up and then down shift. When I depressed the clutch again and attempted to shift into 2nd gear, the clutch stuck again and I was stuck in 3rd. I finally eased on the brakes and had to intentionally stall my car. I was lucky to have been on slow moving, lightly used road, or else this could have caused an accident. I managed to push the car off into a designated parking area and attempt to restart the car to no avail. In us law, endangering comprises several types of crimes involving conduct that is wrongful and reckless or wanton, and likely to produce death or grievous bodily harm to another person. From this experience and reading of situations like this, I am surprised Nissan/Infiniti have not recalled these cars for obvious endangerment of their customers and the welfare of other drivers. This problem with the clutch slave cylinders (csc) has occurred countless times, putting lives in danger. If the service departments at the Nissan/Infiniti dealerships state that this is a known issue with these cars, why has Nissan north America, inc. Not done something to rectify this?.
