The outside mirror on the driver's side was replaced with an original equipment mirror from the dealer. The replacement mirror was convex rather than flat, creating a safety hazzard. The mirror did not have the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" warning on it. There may be a batch of convex mirrors without warnings that can be installed on the driver's side.
