2 Windshield problem of the 2000 Jaguar S-type

Failure Date: 10/30/2000

Six months ago I noticed a crack on the passenger side of the windshield. The crack was noticed hours after car was parked. Two days ago another crack appeared on the driver side of the windshield. Both cracks are similar in nature, and both are near the side columns at about 9. 5 inches from the bottom of the windshield. Dealer inspected the vehicle and dismissed any windshield manufacturing, or stress point defects due to chips on the glass. Escalation to 1800-Jaguar was not useful, as they only thing they did was act as a mediator to the dealer, instead of concerned with the reasons behind the cracked glass.

During the afternoon sun windshield has a crystalline appearance. It looks like diamonds, it's within the glass. It depends on the angle of the sun. Spoke with Jaguar USA and the service manager, and nothing has been resolved. All windows are coming out this way.
