On two occasions our 2010 Jaguar Xf has completely stalled in the middle of traffic narrowly avoiding an accident. On both occasions we had no control over the vehicle as the system completely froze. After the first incident Jaguar took the car and replaced the fuel pump and some of its accessory's. Yesterday the same event occurred and we started to research online to see if we could find any other owners experiencing this same problem. This is what we found;

This may restricts fuel being transferred from one side of the fuel tank to the fuel pump causing fuel starvation at low fuel levels. Consequence: fuel starvation to the engine can cause the engine to stall without warning and could potentially cause a crash. Remedy: dealers will have the fuel tank assembly repaired free of charge.
