Tank Filler Pipe And Cap Problems of Jaguar XF

On two occasions our 2010 Jaguar Xf has completely stalled in the middle of traffic narrowly avoiding an accident. On both occasions we had no control over the vehicle as the system completely froze. After the first incident Jaguar took the car and replaced the fuel pump and some of its accessory's. Yesterday the same event occurred and we started to research online to see if we could find any other owners experiencing this same problem. Consequence: fuel starvation to the engine can cause the engine to stall without warning and could potentially cause a crash. Remedy: dealers will have the fuel tank assembly repaired free of charge. The in-tank electric fuel pump may not be correctly activated as the fuel pump relay is not energized following a vehicle start up cycle. An inadequate supply of fuel to the engine could result. Consequence: fuel starvation to the engine leads to engine.
